So I actually had two of these spawn, one at 49.46, 78.81 and 49.24, 78.08. I had been running up and down the hill there killing rock martins and hollow moths trying to get a lithengale to spawn... which it did. And much to my amazement as I finisheed that battle, there were two ebonwing moth spawns down the hill. 

I have yet to see one during a primalist event and I've been looking for a while. :(

Are there certain parameters we're unaware of? Maybe a specific boss or type of primal storm?

I really wish they'd test the terrain in their pet battle spawn areas. :( I had to kill it so it would respawn because it was "obstructed" or too uneven to battle.

Sadly, according to the WoW forums, many people have reported this as a bug and have gotten no response. It is extremely frustrating. This is my first 'covenant only' pet so I don't know if others have the same issues or it is only Trootie, but having this covenant exclusivity seems to negate the idea of account wide pet stuff.

So... since Paul North is dead (as of BfA) and you are investigating his death during the new mount quest... is this pet no longer available?

Apparently he is, he just wasn't showing up even in red until I left and returned to the arena between reaching rank one and rank 2. Now sold by "Bad Luck" Symmes.

I think we need to petition Blizzard to give us a horse battle pet. Like, Invincible or Midnight, but cuted out. My Little Bosspony. Make it an achievement and earn the title "Brony."

I got one from a malformed gnasher pool in the river off of Whitepetal Lake in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. It was maybe the six or seventh pool in the lake and adjoining water I'd fished.

I also found one as a main at 16.51, 76 near the flightpath. A rare! 

Not sure what the drop rate is on this little guy but I got it the first time I killed the rare. It was green quality so I didn't even realize I had it until I was vendoring stuff ten minutes later!

I "found" one spawned near 46.08, 31.14 but it was dead (AOE from someone I guess). I stuck around for about ten minutes and came  back around later but it didn't respawn.

**I found a green one as a main spawn just past the Horde landing area, near the spawn point noted for the duskytooth snooter. Right around 73.38, 19.72

Yup, got mine there, too. Blue! Made me feel lucky.

Four normal runs, no luck, first time heroic, it dropped. Not sure if that means it only drops on heroic or not.

Caught on normal on my third run through, but no luck on duplicates. Sorry guildies!

I got it on normal, twice. Can't remember if it were 10 or 25 but pretty sure 10.

So glad to see one of my favorite pet-related sites highlighting the other! I refer both to people all the time. Xu-Fu saved me from endless frustration, and made it possible for  me to quickly level all my pets to max. Six thumbs up!

I'm not 100% sure  but I believe you need to be in war mode when you do this. Wowhead suggestions include that as well as targetting Baa'l /before/ you summon Uuna. At any rate, I'm glad I finally got this pet!

If you've invested any time at all in the fishing pole from Legion, it was well worth taking the time to get the buff that turns you into a fish just for the last pebble quest.

For anyone still wondering, this can still be obtained in BFA. I got the quest yesterday on the first toon I cycled through the KT WQs. This was the second round of KTs that I'd remembered to check for, and the last one I ran 10 toons through with no luck. Not sure if the drop rate has improved or if I was just lucky, but at least it can still be acquired!

The rendering of this pet durng battles is a little buggy, which saddens me. Hopefully they will fix this with the next patch. Not real sure about a pet with a 3 round or better cooldown on EVERY skill, though.
