I have a few duplicates. My intent is to upgrade them if/when I obtain the appropriate stone. I have a rare in the three that are dupes; I just want a specific breed in those pets.

I guess I don't see his downfall. The patch actually fixed a previously broken pet. If you'll notice, it can still hit pretty hard with a combo. Supercharge can crank Claw up to 769 damage and 855 with Prowl. That's just two moves, so not bad considering. Overtune and Pounce with the amp abilities works even better, though requires 3 rounds now. It's not OMGPWN awesome anymore, but it's not a worthless pet.

I see what you're saying about it not being a mechanical powerhouse. I can appreciate that.
