Notes:
Blizzard has introduced a new biennial event (even years) called The Spirit of Competition to commemorate the Olympic Games. Unlike the Spirit of Competition, this pet requires a special code to obtain. The code was redeemable at Gilbarta Grandhammer in Ironforge (alliance) or Muja in Orgrimmar (horde).

Throughout each day of the 2008 event in China, the code was mailed to 500 random players. Only players who had achieved various in-game milestones during the event were eligible for a chance to receive the code. Some milestones included having an Arena rating of 1650+, increasing reputation for certain Outland factions from less than revered to exalted, or raising a crafting profession from 350 or less to 375.

In the World of Warcraft, what more reveals the Essence of Competition than running around with blues and purples. This little dragon allows its owner to do just that. As for me, I suppose I'll keep running around with Father Winter's Helper... (dang greens and whites).

It's sad all of the chinese dragons (except the Spirit of Competition) are limited to Asia. Why don't they let us have some time with these wonderful, magnificent creatures of myth? This seems to be my favorite of the ones out at the moment. I wish they would send one of the dragons to every accounts main in the game, and it will bind to their account. That would make many happy, and even me. :)

I agree. These little dragon's are awesome, I hope for the next Olympics they consider letting this one loose on the US servers. I like it so much better than the Spirit of Competition.

just my speculation, but seeming as the next olympics will be in london..or canada apparently (dunno much about olympics), i think that europe/US will get a few pets and goodies, while asia and US/europe will get what was available last year but with a different pet

i got one of these on my other char (the one im not collecting on), while playing PvP. I dont know how I got it exactly but he is quite cute!
