This pet is available for a limited time to all players on China servers if they log in with a character between October 19^th and November 24^th 2009. This gift is given out via an in-game mail to welcome players back to Azeroth after Chinese servers had been offline for several months. In addition to receiving this pet, logging in also also earns eligible characters the Jade Tiger achievement.

I can't help but feel a little "jaded" knowing that I'll never have a Jade Tiger of my own. In fact, I'm "green" with envy thinking about all of you lucky folks in China who received this nifty little idol. But it goes both ways, I suppose. I'm sure you guys would love to have a Warbot or a Zergling. Heck, you can't even get the Panda Cub, which is a bit of a slap in the face considering pandas are native to China. Ok. *smiles* I feel better now.

I know many of you are upset about pets that are limited to certain regions, like this one. While I understand your frustration, please try to keep your comments regarding this pet constructive. Telling everyone that you think its unfair that you can't get it or degrading another country is not helpful to anyone. Thanks!

Ahh, the Jade Tiger. A beautiful pet for the Chinese to have, and they deserve it considering the Chinese servers have been down for months, heck they don't even have WotLK yet!

Everyone who logged in between October 19th to November 24,2009 was rewared this pet. It was an event called "再铸史诗"(in Chinese) which in order to welcome players back to Azeroth.

Jade is prized for its toughness and durability. It's a fitting pet, as waiting months for the WoW servers must have been one agonizing trial!

I think that perhaps Blizzard should make it where all the different realms (EU/China/US...etc) get the same pet (even if they have to use it for different promos.... then people wouldn't be complaining). ....just a thought! =)

This is a very unique pet but I can't help but thing that it isn't very aptly named. While it certainly looks jade-like and cat-like it doesn't look like a tiger to me. The stripes should be more pronounced. Either carved deeper into the jade or even have a light glow through the cracks effect.

Does having this model mean that there might be another NCP made out of a different gem. Ruby or Emerald could be pretty. Diamond would be dangerous.

Maybe if our servers were offline for months, Blizz would give us one too. Slap my hand for thnking that. I am waiting for the new Spectra Kitty pet.

With the new bl;izzard pet store maybe we will finaly get teh chance to purchase the CE pets and the regional ones. If they do that it will be awsome. Maybe if everyone that is on this site floods blizz with emails they might take notice and do it

China have the jade tiger and many other companions. USA have warbots and some other companions.
What's with europe???? Nothing specials for us. :(

Its my favorite pet!! Love its eyes as it follows me around.

Don't complain as we have missed out on a lot of pets too, frosty, blizzard bear etc =((

There has been some news that since China will probably rid of WoW blizzard might just give us a chance for a few of the China pets like this guy that would be awesome!
