The Wolpertinger is one of two pets (the other being the Pint-Sized Pink Pachyderm) that are only visible to the player and to members of the player's party. Non-party members can also see this pet when "completely smashed."

In 2008, this pet was sold for 50 silver throughout the event. In 2009, the original quest to obtain the pet was restored for the US only. EU players can continue to purchase this pet for 50 silver.

This pet is bought off a vendor on European realms, and the quest to get him, along with the one to zap pink elekks are disabled, as they were deemed inappropriate for a T rated (Or the equivalent of T) game.

The Wolpertinger is not to be confused with its close cousin, the jackalope (also called an antelabbit, aunt benny, Wyoming thistled hare or stagbunny), which inhabits the American West. The jackalope is an antlered rabbit, but lacks the wings and fangs of the Wolpertinger.

This pet was my first holiday pet and has a special space in the game for me and the Jackolope is infact a rabbit with growths on it making it appear to have atlers. But the ingame version will tear your face off if u make it angry! i call it " the hulk of the mini pets" lol

This little guy is good for any of the WoW holidays. I would love to see a flight animation for this guy or have him attack a random critter in the world to drink it's blood.

I absolutely love this little guy! He was one of the first vanity pets I ever owned, and I've always thought the sounds he makes when you click on him are super cute! The sounds are only rivaled by Mr. Chilly, who strangely sounds more like a dolphin than a penguin. :P
