Perky Pug

The acronym for "Pick-up group" is PUG. This pug is the reward for using the new LFG feature to participate in PUGs. The reward seems very fitting.

This is the first true dog pet fashioned after a domesticated canine breed. The only other canine-like pet so far has been the Worg Pup.

Well it IS the first dog pet in the sense that it's just an actual dog. Not an existing warcraft beast. Which makes it even better as a pet, because there is nothing else like it in the game! It's also about time we got some K9 companionship... We have so many kitties O_O

If this pet still has the idle animation of scooting its bum across the ground, I'm pretty sure it stands for 'wiping' (as PUG groups tend to do). ;)

I must admit, I missed the 'P.U.G.' reference until now. As a punishment, I will lock myself in a room with Egbert after feeding him pixie sticks.

To get the achievement you must do Heroics. If you choose to do a random Heroic you can do the same heroic multiple times a day, however you don't get to pick the heroic. Good news is that they nerfed Oculus so its not as big a pain if you get that one.

Doing the new dungeons on reg doesn't count towards the achievement. I do not believe Raids count either.

Got my Perky Pug today! This cute little pup is lovable and gets excited around people, but with all that attention, who's to blame him!?! He has his accidents which causes him to wipe--how appropriate for a p-u-g pet! I am amazed at how much work Blizz has put into the latest batch of pets. The new LFG system works pretty well. There are some kinks, but they are already fixed. For example, if the party does not get into the instance, just right click on the eye icon to "enter the dungeon."

As a dog lover, I hope this is just the beginning of adding true dog pets into the game. Ironic that at the same time they do, they add yet another cat with the same model and a different color. There are so many great dog breeds out there, I hope in due time there are many to see in the game.

In a related note, the new updated LFG system is incredibly smooth, and a great way to pick up some extra gold and badges when combined with the Random Dungeon feature. Double win, Blizz!

I just got this guy today, December 10, 2009. He's my second favorite minipet as of now, second only to Pandaren Monk. Hoping to see many more lil Pugs running around the game in the future. :)

Being a real-life Pug lover, this guy was a perfect addition to my collection. Now, if only they come out with an English Bulldog pet Ill be set for life!!

100 different people to do randoms...ok, not too hard if you really think about it. So I got the pup, and I'm training him to go potty on the Ally part of Dalaran...if you find your shoe stinks, don't blame me! Now that you can get over 100 pets IN GAME...won't you please let us get an achivement for it? Pweety pwease? Oh right...I guess I should train my pup to go somewhere else, but where? :)

The letter I got with my pet pug is almost as good as the reward itself.

"In short, We heard you like pugs. So here's a pug for your pug. So you can pug while you pug. Or something"

Ah, made my day. This adorable dog makes a great addition to the collection of non-combat pets.

They certainly give a lot of reason to use the new LFG system: Emblems of Frost and Triumph, Gold, a buff, and best of all, this little cutie!

To get it, you must group up whit 100 diferent poeple. If you never group up whit the same in Random HC, you must do 25 heroics

I'm normally a cat person but, Oh my, this Pug is really cute! :) I like how Blizz started with the cockroach and today, the Pug and others like Lil'K.T. or the Monk.

I'd love a 100 pets achievement tho! :O

I think the batch of Pugs I got mine from hates gnomes! Every time I stop near one, he wipes on the gnomes foot!

I received this little bundle of love yesterday after five grueling days of cross-realm insanity. Was it worth it? I must admit, it was hard, but when I summoned him for the first time, I found him inexPUGnable.

I just hope they will add a beagle :)

Would be easy for them to do a Schipperke, just take the black worg pup and lop off it's tale and voila, a Skip. Well other then the large fangs lol.

I thought it was very sweet that the mail included with this pet also includes a hug from the development team =D.

P.S. he does make a sound when you click him, he has the cutest little dog bark.

Your group must have at least 2 'random' puggers to have it count towards the achievement. Note that if you have 3 guildies/party members and queue up to get your 2 randoms for this achievement, you will only get 2 points towards the 100, not all 4. (same server 'randoms' count)

If you do this achievement solo, you will need a total of 25 groups to complete the achievement for your pet and a total of 30 achievement points (10 for each tier of numbers : 10 > 50 >100).

If I tried any of those puns with my friends, I would find myself in a PUGilistic situation

The pug does indeed have sound, somebody might have their game sounds muted! He barks, woofwoof, just like any eager little pug would do.

Hello my new favorite pet EVER!! I have always loved puggies and am sooo happy he's been added! It's painful at times even with the new dungeon finder to PuG but it will all be worth it for this adorable guy. I don't care what people say, I laugh myself silly when I see him scooting across the ground!

It's adorable and is a Role players Dream! To have a nice lil pup following ya around. Using the Red Leash on em, playing fetch, I highly Recommend it.

This is by far my most fav pet in the game, seeing as i have one in real life. They captured the essence of them quite nicely lol!
