Breanni Says:

Nether Ray Fry? Sounds like what I had for dinner last night! *laughs* Actually, "fry" is a term used to describe the young of many aquatic species, including fish, sting rays, and frogs. This has also led to the expression "small fry". Hmmm... an orc once called me 'small fry', but he was also holding a fork and knife, so who knows? *shrugs*

The grind for this pet was long and....well, long. But as it ended up being my 100th pet in my collection, it was well worth the hours i put into it.

Now that this pet can fly with your mount, a perfect matching companion is the Purple Riding Nether Ray.

The Sha'tari Skyguard rep is one of the harder ones as there are no associated instances, and one of the daily areas (Ogri'la shares this area, even) requires several 5-man group quests to unlock.
The upshot is that the arakoa in the area all give rep (only 10 mind you) and handing in dust (10 in a bundle) gains you another 100 or so per turn and a nifty potion to see and kill more arakoa. If you're feeling brave (or level 80) you can take on the aspects of Terokk for more rep.

I'd like to either update or correct previous information.
Collecting shadow dust gets you 150pt rep and you only need 6 each time. You also get 100pt rep for killing each adversarial blood boss (and all but karrog are fairly easy to take alone). Vakkiz the Windrager is probably the easiest (coming from a blood spec DK lvl 77). While collecting the scrolls to summon him you'll end up getting plenty of dust too. Compared to other BC rep this has actually been the easiest.

If it wasn't so darn cute i would eat this thing for that rep grind for it can be a bit repetitive, well worth it but i am not looking forward to my Sporeggar rep grind as much.

Anyone wanting to undertake the task of getting this little guy, I must say for me it was a labor of love and well worth the effort.

Perfect companion pet to the Mount, especially when your dressed in purple.

I agree with Tippykitt. I got my pet after about a week of rep grinding on and off. Another mob to kill for rep is a large tree like elite that will give you 30 rep (33 if human) for each kill. There are a few of them that spawn around Skettis. If you can herb, you can "skin" the dead mob for fel weed and primal lifes.

I don't know why people seem to think the Sporeggar rep is harder to grind than this one... this one was brutal for me. At least you get 750 rep for the repeatable quest whereas with Skyguard you're lucky to get 500 for one return/kill. This guy's so worth it! :)
