Horde characters may purchase this and other horde-based Argent Tournament pets once they have successfully "championed" that race's cause through various quests. Alliance characters may purchase this pet through a neutral auction house and on occasion through their own auction house. |

As you can see in it, it has a 1 second casting time and a 15 yard range. So your scorpion will stop for 1 second when he tries to sting you, and if you'll get out of range the sting won't land.
