Got this off the AH for 50s. Had it on my main for almost a year & then earlier this year Blizz changed how pets are accessed once equipped/bound. They sent out an in-game notice explaining about how pets may end up missing or something due to the change. Like a day a later, when they did whatever they did, they sent me a copy of every pet(9 total) I already had bound to my main to my in-game mail. So not only did I get another of these birds for free, I also got a new yeti

This pet is an amazing addition to any pet collector's set. Ever since it changed to epic I've seen it go for 25,000 gold on Auction house. One day that bird will be MINE!!!

This pet needs his own Feat of Strength achievement, like Baron's mount.

I just got this beautiful bird. After an hour of killing those Buccaneers, it certainly paid off.

As any pet collector knows, this is a hard pet to find considering its very low drop rate. Don't get discouraged! Like me, you will stumble upon it. Trust me, it's well worth it!

I circled from the Buccaneer camps, to the boats (all three), and headed back. By then, they should start to respawn already.

I once destroyed this pet in Vanilla to make space for others, it's rarity is only rivaled by how overpriced it is. The recent changes making this the only epic quality pet to drop only encourage the already outrageous practices of the AH and stands as an insult to all other rare pet drops.

If you're going to farm this pet, I recommend either a Death Knight or a Druid as there will usually be a lot of water between groups. The best spot I've found is directly south of Booty Bay, where there is a small camp on the beach and three boats filled with mobs that drop this beauty. A rough path can be found here: Link. Follow the path and go into the boats and you should find plenty of mobs.

hi, all got the parrot sunday after grinding firefly and raptors .got bored with those and went to booty to kill sailors got the parrot to drop on maybe my 15th kill 2nd boat all the way to the end of 2nd floor last mob.your right great feeling great looking bird,collecting has given me a refresh on the game.

if you are farming for this pet it will realy decrease your chances of geting the admirals hat

This pet will make it harder to get the bloodsail admiral title, but i'd rather have the rarest pet in the game than a title and a new hat.

i have been farming this pet on and off since i was lvl38ish. keep in mind, i have been playing since three months after release. i am starting to wonder if it rly exists!
