Undercity has always been hard to navigate, especially your first time there...
Are we sure Blizz didn't mean Lost in Lordaeron?
I have been searching out the rare for weeks. If it weren't for the comments here I would not believe they exist... Thanks for giving me hope.
Finally!! 50 or so fights later - rares do exist!!
Got a rare after battling about 10.. It was inside the Ruins of Lordaeron.
Got a rare on my second battle at the Scarlet Monastery
Despite the name, this pet spawns outside of the ruins as well, so that those uncomfortable with navigating the broken buildings (or fighting a lot of rats) have places to search: Brill GY area, entrance to the UC sewers (near the scarlet tower), and SM GY. I hunted for quite a long time for my rare, but glad I did, its a fave!
Absorb + Siphon Life + Curse of Doom. Lots of healing, lots of damage, I've even taken out some Critters with this undead lovely.

For battles, what would be a better breed to lvl, a rare with more health but less speed and pwr or with less health but more spees and power?

I really love this pet, named it Spooky because I'm not that inventive but it just owns!!
Found lots in the graveyard of The Bulwark.
I also caught mine at the outer courtyard in the Ruins of Lordaeron (Undercity). Its odd, but the picture for it on this website shows far more than the actual ghost does. Why are we missing the details such as chains and cloth wrinkles?
The RNG gods definitely work their magic on these. I've caught a couple dozen of these little fellows with no rare yet - though I am going to try my luck with some different zones.
Update: the ones at Garren's Haunt in Tirisfal definitely seem to have a better chance of being rare. First one I caught there was rare!
Found mine in the fields of Garren's Haunt.
This guy's original curse of doom healed when it landed, making him one of the easiest pets to level, even vs critters with strong attacks vs it. I hated the nerf, though I am sure the heal was a bug.
