The pet is retrieved via an in-game mail from Kel'Thuzad.
Lil' K.T. is an excellent PvP companion, as he cackles at vanquished PvP foes. He also cackles when you down certain NPC bosses.

Like, O-M-G! I actually own a piece of *THE* Kel'Thuzad! *excitedly shrieks* Mr. Thuzad, if you're reading this, I'm like your biggest fan ever! My room is decked out in wall-to-wall K.T. posters and I listen to your music whenever I go questing! Oh, and I even dressed up at the last KT-Con! I was a Guardian of Icecrown (sorry about the Blood Tap incident). And now you sent me this, the jewel of my K.T. collection — a little you! SQUEEEEEEE!!! *faints*

With that in mind, I'm loving the trend I'm seeing with vanity pets having more fun 'idle' animations (Grunty fighting a zergling, KT ice blocking/killing critters). My favorite pets are almost always the ones with entertaining idle animations.
Loving the Pet store already! I can see some pretty exclusive pets incoming! :D
He will not fetch a ball, be put on a leash, be fed pet snacks or a grooming kit. (I wanted him to be sparkley :( )
When he kills a critter not only do you hear the cute little evil laugh, but Big K.T's booming laugh as well!
He's a very well detailed pet, with buck teeth & large blue eyes!
Now if only Blizzard would give us that Lil' Rivendare we've always wanted...
I am not sure which is funnier (Wait... more funny... I always get it wrong)... Breanni's note or the in game mail I got when I got the companion. Both are equally cute and funny!
Instead of the character kneeling down with the mini-pet summon sound, the character summong Lil' K.T. casts a shadow spell (I.E. his hands flash purple-black like casting Shadowbolt or the Acherus Deathcharger)
I also noticed that the laugh he does when he kills a critter or the character kills a player is Lil' K.T. laughing in his kid voice, clearing his throat and letting forth good old Kel'thuzads manaiacal cackle!
Even one of my skeptical guild-mates who wasn't too keen on actually "buying" a pet from Blizzard had a change of heart on seeing the animations, sounds, ect that came from this pet.
And the laughing at other players, makes it even that much more fun to pull this little guy through battlegrounds.
EDIT: Please note this pet is now Bind on Pickup! No longer BoA: as of Patch 3.3.0a (as far as I can tell)
It's too bad he killes Bigglesworth to be honest! He shouldn't, he should hug it!
I had to have this guy once they introduced pet battles, so I dropped the $10, and annoyingly, no more than 3 days later, Blizz did a half off promotion for him :(
I'm disappointed that his Life Siphon doesn't scale very well as you level. At 20, it only returns about 50-80 HP per round, which doesn't do much of anything when you are getting hit for at least 150 HP by pretty much any pet around the same level. If it gave back 15-20% health, I think he'd be more effective.
No. that's the haunted memento that gives you that ghost that will follow you..not sure why people always downgrade comments that ask legitimate questions but it really irks me. I get sick of seeing honest inquiries get -whatever# just because people don't wanna take the time to be helpful or think everyone should just know something..whatever. -this too if you want, lol.
