This pet is a free gift for purchasing the Wrath of the Lich King Collector's Edition. This edition will be sold in stores (in limited quantity) and it will also be found on auction websites the week of November 13, 2008. While this is a rare pet, it's not quite as rare as the original Collector's Edition pets.

Having worked at Best Buy, I started a tradition/ obsession of buying all the CE's from Blizzard for the WoW pets that came with them. I don't/will never have the classic WoW CE pets, but I have all of the rest so far. This guy followed many toons throughout Northrend.

Blistering Cold does massive damage when stacked with Call Lightning.  I always use him when fighting Aki, and I can usually bring down two of her pets with just Frosty

I've found his Blistering Cold can be stacked with Exposed Wounds (or presumably Wild Magic) for massive damage. Of course, the ease of removing it by pet swap makes it less than stellar. You can take someone by surprise with it, but not worth making a strategy around.

Would someone plz help me understand the use of the ability Blistering Cold? It seems pretty useless for the tiny amount of dmg it does. I noticed it is a Frosty only ability so it should be a special ability... worst "special" ability I've ever seen.

Frosty is my baby, so glad I got Wrath CE. His sounds really remind me of the sounds you hear from the creatures in SPORE.

Yes, you can "upgrade" your account to CE at anytime. I have done it twice now. I already had BC and WotLK but wanted the pets. I bought the 2 CE's off eBay and called Blizz to add the new CE's keys for me, they did with no problem. Now to buy the first CE...$2,000.00 SIGH...

This is one of my favorite pets hand down. When choosing between my whelps he always comes out on top and, I love the squeaking noises he makes. I especially love pulling him out when fighting any undead beasts (he's always out in Naxx).

The spinning he does almost seems like a dance to me. For an undead whelpling, he seems quite cheery--as though being an undead frost wyrm doesn't mean you can't have a warm heart!

Frosty is another pet I regret I'll never own. I didn't feel bad about missing out on the Netherwing Whelp from Burning Crusade but my lack of Frosty brings a single chilly tear to my eye...

♪ *Sings* There must've been some wyrm nip on that old rope leash I found. For, when I placed it 'round his neck, he began to spin around. Oooooh, Frosty the whelpling, was undead as he could be. And collectors say that he'll come and play, when you buy a Wrath CE! ♪
