I accidentally took the Oracle quest *again* for the 3rd (I think) year in a row. I didn't realize my mistake until after I already completed the quest and checked my mailbox to see... no pet! :(

I ticketed a GM asking if it was possible to reset the quest and explained my mistake. Two days later I got a response saying they couldn't reset the quest, but since it's the same quest they gave me the Wolvarr pet anyway! So happy! This got me the 150 achievement. Woo :D

I had the oracle pet from last year, and just got the wolwar today. So go check out if you can do the quest again for the pet you miss. Worked for me anyways ;-)

So, this will come around again during children's week? Every year since BC came out I have gone back to Dalaran during Children's Week and every year the orphan matron has no quest for me. :-(

Do you think it will be available this year since I didn't get to do it more than once? I would really like to get the wolvar pet too.

As this is coming up again, please don't make the same mistake I did and choose the wrong orphan quest. Unlike the first year where you get to choose the orphan, the second year you will get the orphan for the quest line you run.

I can confirm that you CAN get both pets on the same char, my paladin now have both, I got the Oracle one on 2009, didnt had the quest on 2010 (quest not there) but this year I was able to do the wolvar pup chain no problem.

Fallen - once you select the pet you don't have, it will tell you to speak with the orphan matron. Click on "Tell me more about orphans" (or something like that) in her dialog box. Then you just have to click accept when she tells you that you can only pick one. Don't worry about that - just click accept and starting showing your orphan around. You shouldn't have any trouble.

Having just completed the quests on an EU server , I can happily say, you can now get this as the second orphan from Northrend if you had done the Northrend childrens week quests in previous years :)

I'm also wondering if they'll be allowing us to get this as a 2nd pet. Anyone heard anything about this?

I was so sad when I saw that I couldn't repeat the Dalaran Children's Week quests. Last year I got the other one. :/ Now I have to wait another year. :'(

I have a bone to pick with this pet. When he visits Hemmet Nessingway, he says that he can't read. Then he writes me a letter in the mail about 5 seconds later saying that magically, he learned how to write! He's such a liar... or has an incredibly high IQ.

Something about keeping this Wolvar Pup just doesn't sit well with me. Maybe it's the fact that I've repeatedly bagged a bunch of his little puppy friends for The Kalu'ak. Hundreds of adorable puppylings, looking up at me with their big tear-filled eyes as I snatched them from the only home they ever knew. And one day this curious little pup is going to look up at me and ask, "What happen to Krajek, Taktak, and Vagak? They were my friends." Yup... I'm going to Hell.
