Razzashi Hatchling

I had attempted farming this pet on and off awhile back with no luck. Now, I often check the AH for good pet deals, and it doesn't happen often where I find one I don't already have. But just now, I checked, and scored this guy for a whopping 1500g. I couldn't even believe my eyes when I saw that. So excited right now. Wish the Fox Kit had been my 150th, but.. Oh well. I'm happy.

I was farming the level 28-29 Venture Co. Geologists for Steamwheedle Rep (as a lvl 20 trial account). This pet dropped after about 6200 kills. The Macaw did not drop, so I still have to go back for that..

Started farming at around 9:25am, dropped after two kills off the Raptors near Fort Livingston:)

@Lobbot: Your are mixing things up. You observed the quest series which will lead to the Lashtail Hatchling.

I'm a bit confused about this one. I found her wandering as an orphan after killing a Raptor Matriarch. The little raptor appeared at my side on it's own (not as a drop item, she simply went out of the bushes), then followed me back to Grom Gol. There I've received specific missions to pet and feed her.
She disappears when you leave Strangelthorn. She cannot exist outside this area. What confuses me is the fact she's not called Razzashi. She has a different name and I can't identify her anywhere

I farmed this frackin' raptor all over both STV zones pretty regularly for four months with no luck. During that time I got FIVE (yes five) Hyacinth Macaws and still no luck. Just a minute ago I was sitting on my coach scrolling through the AH through the Armory app on my phone and saw that someone put a raptor up for 2k. I had to kick my son off the computer to log in, but I was able to snatch it up! Do not farm for this pet. Just spend the gold and save yourself months of suffering!

Tried farming this one a while back and had no luck. When I saw one on the AH for 2k, I jumped at it :P

I have been farming for this bugger for the past three or four days. The Hyacinth Macaw dropped two days ago, after what I'm sure to be at least 3k or 4k kills. To keep myself sane, I haven't been counting my kills. Yesterday the First Mate's Hat dropped... Still no sign of a Razzashi Hatchling. -.-' I must've killed at least 6k mobs by now.

That 5k buyout for it is starting to sound really tempting... Luckily I'm too stubborn to give up now.

I want to encourage all of those farmers who are having bad luck.

I know your pain. You have killed over 1000 animals and humanoids in STV and this hatchling still won't drop. I had to kill around 3000 before she dropped.

Your consolation is that you have also been farming the Hyacinth Macaw, with a 1 in 5000 drop rate. You may even get another hatchling or two before the Macaw drops.

So keep going for this elusive hatchling. She is worth it.

I just got mine from the "Satchel of Exotic Mystery" that you get from the Hero's Call role for random dungeons. No farming for me :)

Me and my sister started questing in Stranglethorn and we were doing quest in a place and shes like WOAH whats the drop rate for the Razzashi Hatchling and im like 1-1000 and shes like well I just got it. Her druid is lucky(the toon she got it on). She has also gotten a devite hatchling on it. -sigh- i guess im not a lucky person better keep farming

I got this pet from a Bloodsail Raider on my first "try" (I didn't know of the pet so I wasn't trying to get it, I was just on my way to Booty Bay and I saw a few of those guys). I'm kind of new on WoW, and I did know some pets were very rare, but not specifically. My friend was sitting next to me and he said that I was VERY lucky, even more so because I even got it on my very first kill.

On WoWhead it's not registered that they drop from Bloodsail Raiders as well, but apparently they do.

i was farming for the macaw when this dropped, i was killing gorilla's went to leave due to boredom and i spotted one just appear so decided, oh ok one more, and this dropped ^.^ already have it so am going to sell it

I was actually trying to farm for the parrot in STV and just had the razzashi hatchling drop from gan'zulah in the zul'kunda ruins. Nice suprise as was one I was missing :)

I just had one drop off a Bloodsail Pirate so I would say this is now a zone wide drop in STV this makes it the second time this guy has dropped for me

Got my little Razzashi today on my little Human Hunter from a Bloodscalp Hunter :)

I got one as a drop off of a Skymane Bonobo on the Jauguar Isle today. (Hope that helps some of you farming)

I can confirm that this pet is still available post-cataclysm, as I just found one on a Kurzen jungle fighter when doing a quest to get jungle remedies. Killed less than 20 and it dropped. Too bad I already had it :-D

No luck for me yet to get him to drop. 11 clears at 30 each, so 330 kills and no drop. At least he will be available after Cataclysm.
