Notes:

This raptor companion is available upon defeating Bloodlord Mandokir in the new five-man heroic Zul'gurub dungeon. Players who have completed the level 20+ Lashtail Hatchling quest chain will find a captured Lashtail Hatchling in the instance, which they can save, and conclude this raptor's storyline.

To begin the lower level quest chain, horde players will need to pick up the quest The Defense of Grom'gol: Raptor Risk and alliance players will need to pick up the quest Bad Medicine.

Unlike other pets, the Lashtail Hatchling will proudly sport the title of <Player name>'aka instead of <Player name>'s Compnaion.

Hunting Log, Day 309: Today my ongoing raptor expedition take me to Stranglethorn Vale. I'm planning to liberate a baby Lashtail from those evil Zul'Gurub trolls. Their funky voodoo is no match for my magic! After a couple of Arcane Barrages and a missile attack for good measure, they'll wish they'd never touched this lil' guy. Then again, they are elite... and I'm severely undergeared. *sigh* Well, there's always Day 310.

This is my favorite pet of all time! The quest line is adorable and her scars make her unique among the baby raptors. The emote is super cute too & a nice match when you're working on archaeology-- you dig up artifacts, she's gnawing on a corpse & digs up a bone.

Just got her today. Was rather easy. Though the first two tanks left the moment they noticed the instance, we actually fought through the whole thing rather well, not even needing the tank (since he died) on Venoxis.

For me, obtaining this pet was far more frustrating than any grinding job. I went through hours and many groups queuing for the dungeon, even trying to create my own with guild members. After the last boss is killed, DO NOT leave the dungeon like I did (twice, really? Yeah really). I never caught the drift when I was given the info at first, but the quest to obtain this raptor is inside the instance. Mount up and run to the quest point in the lower right corner before you leave.

I'm a bit confused, and my research has left me more confused. I did the quest chain, but it just ended abruptly. with no pet. Is this no longer available? Or did I just miss something?

Just got this one, named as player's name aka instead of companion. She would go around the mobs I killed and fetches a bone, really special! After defeating 2nd boss in ZG, this little baby is attached in the battleground, click on her to get quest. This pet with a storyline gets players very attached to it! I love her so much!

To Foxies: prob u have to bring out the lashtail to the troll ruins to sniff out the skull and get the next quest from the baby lashtail raptor.

I could really use some help if anyone can offer information. I did all the quests up untill I should start doing the Osbourn quests, but i did not recieve the favorite scull and cannot figure out what went wrong!

For those of you who don't wish to engage in PvE, you do not need to be present for the Bloodlord kill to be offered the quest. A friend of mine just finished ZG, summoned me in and I finally got this little bugger.

I feel very emotional about this pet, I really can't bring myself to get any other pet out since getting her, after what shes been through she needs all my love :D

Having a pet with a back story is a brilliant idea, Blizzard should do more like this.

:( cuz i love him and i did the lower lvl quest chain so now he follows me but his not mine and i cant do the lvl 85 dungeon cuz im lvl 34 and if i finaly arrived there (at lvl 85 ) he will probably not be a avaible pet anymore but if yes other plp will probably take it.sigh. if anyone can help on what to do pls leave a comment on my profile pls help me

I love the bone retrieval ability. A friend died to the elevator boss last night in raid, and this little fella fetched a bone from them while I pointed and laughed!

I do think it's strange this is currently the rarest pet of the entire list. It's not THAT hard to get!

I just saw this tip on the forum for those having bug issues with the be a raptor quest. set your dungeon to 5 player instead of 5 player heroic. It worked for me!

As the last two noted, there currently seems to be an issue with Be Raptor. It, and apparently many other vehicle-based quests, are currently borked. Several Bug Report forum threads already. Advise just picking up the quest and holding it for now. If you get locked into ZG, drop the quest and relog, and you'll be ported to the graveyard outside.

I currently can't complete the quest chain to be able to get this little girl. Be Raptor, is completely broken for me and I phase into ZG without the ability to interact with anything. Blizzard said that many vehicle quests are broken at the moment and they hope to fix it when they can. I hope this helps anyone else that is having problems!

the part of the quest chain,be raptor, is currently bugged for many , or all probably, since it seams to be server side.

do the quest line up to Be raptor

then dont delete your hole system, clear wtf etc... , just sit back an wait for blizz to fix it.
