Notes:

The [Bag of Fishing Treasures] that drops this pet can be obtained by completing the daily fishing quest [70]Crocolisks in the City. Level 70+ is required to obtain the quest, but a Fishing skill of 1+ is all that's required to complete it. Note that this daily quest is randomly available among four other daily fishing quests.

As of patch 3.2, the drop rate from the [Bag of Fishing Treasures] that drops this pet was improved significantly from around 2% to roughly 60%.

The poop crock pet. Looks like he's been in the sewer too long. I prefer the others :p

Just got this pet on the first try. Never had the quest before, got it and on the first drop got Muckbreath! The patch seems to have made it easier.

IDK if 4.2 or just 4.0 shanged the rate, but i had the other two crocs for a long time. First time I bothered to see if "Crocs in the city" was the daily, and I got him. If ou got burned out and mad at the RNG, try it now, and you may get it first try ;)

me and my bro went throught alot of research for this guy now im freakin sad cuz i didnt get him in the bag of fishing treasures he was my favorite pet if it dosent work with the other character than i will stop my companion pet hunts

This particular croc was a long farm for me.

The first three crocs dropped in order while doing the fishing dailies.

I swear this one took at least six more tries, possibly eight or more. The time period was at least two and a half months.

It finally dropped on the first day of the Midsummer World Event.

I have noticed that the first day of world events are often times when this particular fishing daily will turn up on my server. (US, Alterac Mtns.)

These crocs are still gotten today. On the day the fishing daily lands on you'll see people fishing in SW if on Alliance. The most popular fishing spot is on the bridge from the mages area to the market. You will generally see 1-2 people fishing there for the croc. Although it is rare to see anyone with this pet out.

Just got this pet today, and the Baby Crocolisk for the quest dropped when I cast my second line (why is it that I'm lucky with reptiles but not whelplings?).
I think he's just about the cutest crocolisk. What? I'm a reptile fanatic! His breath is fine... he just needs to use better-smelling floss...

Maybe it's just that I'm unlucky but according to my experience Muckbreath seems to be the rarest of all the baby crocs. I've gotten at least 3 extra buckets of the other three, and still no sight of this little stinker.

Anyone can confirm/deny my suspicion?

Hello,
This pet is part of the new special vanity pets tracking achievement which has been data mined from the 3.3 PTR
As Sateena said, "It tracks several of the rarer pets including whelplings, raptor hatchlings, crocolisks and more".

While the drop rate on these pet has increased it seems the chance for it to be the daily has gone down. It's very rare that this is the daily on my server since the change.

I love fishing. Thank you Blizz for making fishing a pet friendly skill. Seven fishing pets and counting. Keep 'em coming.

Here's to hoping they make cooking pet-friendly and add a Gingerbread Boy... fun times.
