This pet is rewarded via the mail when your character completes the "Rock Lover" achievement. To complete this achievement, your character must complete the Therazane faction daily, Lost In The Deeps ten times. Upon completing this quest for the 10th time, you'll immediately receive this pet in your mailbox, sent by Dalaran's vendor, Breanni.

Finally got this after about three months.. good grief! I am so done with the daily diversion to Deepholm!

 

 

I was shocked at the amount of health this little guy has.. He could be a real tank! H/H. At 25 he'll have almost 2k. 

 

 

Good luck to everyone still going for it... stick with it every day and it will happen!

I have yet to see this Lost in the Deep daily, and I've been checking over a month. So frustrating, especially if we need to complete it ten times to get the achievement and the pet.

 

*edit:  I submitted a ticket.  Not sure if it will help but I at least would like to know if it still exists in the game.

the daily has not been available to me for almost a month. getting extremly frustrating. have complained to blizzard about this, for all the good it will do.

Pebble is extremely effective in the Darkmoon pet battle. Set up with Quake and Rupture, rotate him in against the Tonk (elemental is strong versus mechanical), and Quake (hitting the Monkey with a strong backline attack. Rupture can stun the Tonk, too. Often, by the time the Tonk is down the Monkey is around 400 life!

That stubborn Pebble is.. well.. really stubborn! It took about a month or so to receive it after the dailies were unlocked. Sometimes the quest was up a few days in a row, but then nothing for a long long time! I personally hearthstoned deepholm for easy daily check-up. There's a portal to therazane in the temple of earth, you don't need to fly all the way, I also used the bomb to get to Pebble quickly. But I finally had it 10 times done today and I'm really happy with him! Good luck to you all

Can you get the Lost in the Deep Pebble Quest while you have open the Ricket one with the bombs? I was keeping it open in case I stumbled on Jadefang for my husband and guildies but now I am wondering if I just shot myself in the foot. The quest isn't turning up. Although with my luck it came up last week while I was away. I have 8/10 and would like to get Pebble before MoP

Abandoned the bomb quest and it did not help. RNG gods were favorable. Got Pebble on the eve of MoP 9/24/12

Finally got this recently. I did all the Deepholm quests and got exalted with Therazane pretty quickly after Cata came out, then shortly after I stopped playing WoW. Came back 10 months later and remembered that Pebble existed. It took me ages to actually get him. He wasn't there for close to a month at one point. Oh and just incase anyone thinks of trying it like I did, you CAN'T grab "Lost in the Depths" on an alt and then share it to a friend for them to share with you if it's not there :(

Finally! After months of checking daily in Deepholm and having to stare at Therazane's uuuuuuugly mug, I have my prized Pebble. I have to say, I do believe he has the most HP of any pet I have.

Finally got this pet after checking Deepholm daily for the quest. The funny thing is before Winter Veil, I saw this quest pop up 3 times. During Winter Veil, I saw this quest pop up almost 7 days in a row. I'm really hoping having Pebble will finally cause Lumpy to drop!

I am wondering if the appearance of this daily has increased since its initial appearance.

I was late to Cata, after the 4.1 patch.

I think this daily appeared at least once a week, since I earned the rep with Therazane to get this quest.

It takes due diligence to get this done. I was exalted with Therazane weeks ago, and had to keep checking into Deepholm to finish this and the Glop family line achievements.

Half the humor of finally getting Pebble is the lost in the Twisting Nether message from the Postmaster that others have called a bug, or an offense. Think about it. You find him wandering around Deepholm the first time. Later, you're sent on a quest called Lost in the Deeps to rescue him (10 times). When you finally get your pet, the Postmaster found him in the Twisting Nether.

Pet items don't interact with him, like Pet Biscuits or any of the items purchasable through Breanni. He doesn't like to play fetch and he won't take a bath. He just sits there...like a pile of rocks. Also when he arrived in the mailbox it wasn't in a post from Breanni like most of these award pets are. It was just a generic looking email from the Postmaster saying "This item has been retrieved from the twisted nether for you" Maybe bugs.

I report that today it was possible to complete "Rock Lover" achievement on Grim Batol realm for the first time. Over six weeks from the Cata release.

So strange... I've been checking everyday now for a week, and Pyrite Stonetender hasn't had the quest available to offer. I still need to do this about another 5 times so I'm hoping he doesn't require a patch to fix!

No, you don't have to do ALL of the dailies, Gods - just Lost in the Deeps. Whether or not it's up is completely random. Sorry to hear about your crummy luck. =(

I also received my little friend in the mail from The Postmaster, saying he was "lost in the Twisting Nether." The little guy certainly has a talent for getting lost!

I'm already exalted and I don't want to do all the dailies to get this pet... Do I have to do the dailies to get new ones to pop up or do they change daily regardless? I'm on Kilrogg and have been watching the dailies for over 2 weeks and I haven't seen this quest yet.

Completed the daily 10 times today on Moonrunner. Received the pet in the mail from the Postmaster saying it was lost in the nether. Pebble makes a constant rumbling/lava sound but doesn't make any vocalizations when clicked.

So far I haven't seen any special idle animations. He is level 83 and has 53,681 hit points.

This little elemental followed me home after I went exploring in Deepholm the other day. Good thing I picked up some extra shiny, large rocks! They should keep him amused and happy. Hmm, but now I have to find a way to feed him. I wonder if the local food store sells Petrified Stone Bats.
