This pet had a 100% chance to drop from the [Winter Veil Present] in 2007. As of 2011, this pet has a chance to drop from [Stolen Present]. This present is a reward for completing the level 80+ daily quest, You're a Mean One....

The Clockwork Rocket Bot will fire a volley of rockets at any other nearby Rocket Bot, destroying it on impact. (Note that destroyed Rocket Bots may be resummoned by their owners.)

This pet is also available as a FigurePets collectible (series 1).

I got this pet soon after I started playing WOW and wasn't big into collecting pets. Subsequently I ended up discarding him because i needed the slot pets used to take up in your bags. If there was anyone who did this like me. A quick report to Blizz will get him back for you. I wrote them a note explaining my situation. And had him mailed back to my toon, with a note basically saying they try to help out where they can, but don't report lost items to often.

I'm saying this, knowing a bunch of people are gonna down rate this

Yet again,Blizz bows out to the babies of this game complaining about something, I played this game in 2007 so I got this pet, and I was happy to show it off, wasnt it enough that they released the Blue-Rocket Bot,it served the same purpose, but being a different color still made the 2007 one special,I have accepted that I will never go to a Blizz-Con, nor will I get a TCG pet,but I don't cry for Murlocs to be available in game

A little persistance pays off. Even though I had the achievement for the pet, I deleted the pet item since I wasn't collecting pets at the time. My first request to have it restored got denied, however the second time round it got restored! So try again a few months later if your request got denied, you might be as lucky as I was :)

This now drops from the 2011 Winter Veil daily! I got it and my achievement for 2007! Was pretty happy. This is one I thought I'd never get.

An awesome pet, the Clockwork Rocket Bot will shoot rockets at any other rocket bot. If you are standing right next to somebody and keep resummoning it the person who's pet has been there first will almost always win, sometimes you will get lucky though. If you keep losing then run out of range and run back in for a better chance at victory!

Considering the fact this offers one, balanced breed choice, I rate it lower than the Blue Clockwork Rocket Bot which offers a choice of three, including one that grants 325 speed at level 25 / rare. Overall, valuable for the completist, but a bench-warmer when up against other more versatile mechanicals. Sorry Clockwork Rocket Bot... you're obsolete in the era of Pet Battles!

The droprate is NOT 1 in 68 for the Clockwork Rocket Bot.  I've been doing the dailies pretty much from day 1 of this year (2012) on 12 toons, so over 80 times so far, and it's dropped 7-8 times for me.  (I'm actually trying to get either a 2nd Lumpy or the Winter's Veil dagger. *sighhh*)

 

That being said, I wish you all good luck with this one, & hope I get some luck for my own quests.  If not, I'll see you on WRA or on the AH!

I wanted one of these extremely bad. It would make pet 400 allowing me to have venus :) I saw one on the AH last night for bid 1 silver 45 copper. I put my bid in ended up paying 1 silver 49 copper and got it this morning on my main LOL now the funny part... I log on my alt to run my Winter Veil daily and what do I get in my present? ANOTHER ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will be giving it to my bf because he deserves it :) I am a happy camper today

Got min back in '07 and loved to have him out back then since they shoot at eachother. Right now I am leveling him as my anti-beast fighter. I love him as a fighter but his level 15 move is a waste against Wild Pets since it can not be applied (unless your fight is atleast 10 rounds).

I started playing again in January after 3 years away.
Im glad some of you got to have this pet for last christmas,
Just as im glad I got mine for christmas ´07, otherwise I might have been a little hurt i missed this, guess im gonna have to wait a year for lumpy to come back around though :-Þ

Heh, I got this one a few days after my fiancé I raged so bad at him when he looted it xD but I did get three Lumpy pets this year, so I saved one for him incase it goes to BoE like other festival pets have.

A fun thing to do is in boss fights where your group has to split (like Horseman, or Twin Valks) get one person in each group to have one out... as your teams cross paths, rocket fire from above. (seen them shoot clear across a room doing that once).

I miss the first week they came out, when they could be shielded & renewed. Invic-Rocketbot ftw!

Watch out for Lil-XT... He will one shot your Rocketbot.

i was kinda dissapointed blizz made this one available again, i mean they added the blue one, and now the only way to show u got ur pet in 2007 is the date on ur feat of strength. but i am also happy, because more people got a cool pet and that is always a good thing. but if blizz did this, then i have a feeling you are going to see people get a certain chinese dragon companion during the London Olympics.....

I have a question about this toy... was it crafted by helper gnomes, or the goblins of Smokeywood Pastures? If the gnomes built it, it'll probably break right out of the box. If those explosion-happy goblins made it, I'll likely spend most of my holiday in the Ironforge burn ward. *sigh* Winter Veil really is the most stressful time of the year.
