As of patch 3.3.3, this previously-BoP pet is now BoU, meaning you no longer need to be an engineer to obtain it. As of patch 3.1, the BoP schematic has roughly a 20% chance to drop from [27+]Arcane Nullifier X-21, [27+]Peacekeeper Security Suit and [28+]Crowd Pummeler 9-60 in Gnomeregan, enabling both gnomish and goblin engineers to obtain the schematic.

Cute little guy, just got the schematic to make him for my engineer from Gnomer and can't wait to make him! I guess the highest possible quality outcome is uncommon? I'm seeing both common and uncommon on AH but no rare/blue.

One of my Engie friends made this as a gift to me and I love him! Sure he's noisy and smoky but it just adds to his character, and I'm a Warrior Tauren so I won't be sneaking up on anything anyway.

This pet will be made Bind on Use soon, and won't be limited to engineers only. Assuming the materials won't change here is what you will need to have an engineer make one for you:

6 Copper Bars

Bring them to a jewelcrafter and have them make you
3 Delicate Copper Wires. Bring the wires to an engineer along with

2 Essences of Fire
2 Iron Bars
2 Mithril Bars
1 Gold Bar
1 Truesilver Bar
1 Core of Earth

This will result in 4 Fused Wirings left, use 1 for Pet Bombling.

Every guild I've raided with over the years has forbidden his use during raids due to his excessive noise and the fact that (in pre-Jeeves days) he looks just like a repair bot. It's a bummer because he's still a very cool and unique pet.

He's younger brother of Field Repair Bot 110G and younger coussin of Field Repair Bot 74A.
He's a noisy little fella, summon him and Crashin' Thrashin' Robot, use Toy Train Set and Piccolo of the Flaming Fire and don't wait long for effect on other raiders...

Hands down still one of my favorite pets, and well worth having engineering for at the time. Though, if you get one, you'll most certainly have your fair share of complaints from individuals asking you to put it away do to the consistent noise it makes... That's okay though, just politely move away... or torment them by moving closer. Either way! Great pet.

Warning: for something so small and cute, this guy certainly makes a lot of noise. And smoke. Hence the name. So builder beware… While he’s rare and charming, he can get pretty annoying. My human rogue built one. With Lil’ Smoky by her side, she can’t sneak up on anything.
