This guy is an excellent match-up against Major Payne's Grizzle. If you get a rare one, his speed can be just slightly higher, and his plating lets him survive the bear's brutal attacks. On top of that, you can infect Grizzle with rabies right before he goes to sleep for some consequence-free damage boosting action.
Caught a rare Rabid Nut Varmint inside Everlook at 60.0 50.6 at 1015pm Zangarmarsh time or 1215am EDT. I've looked for this pet in Winterspring and found poor quality ones as secondaries, but this one was the primary. I didn't even make the rounds and kill robocritters [I hate to do this anyways]. This is right after catching a common quality Robo-Cub! I'm very happy and good luck to you other pet hunters :) The Robo-Cub was on a hill near Horde Flight Master as another poster suggested. Thanks!
I got this one to in Azahara but it does not show up in my pet journal. Anyone know why?
This game never ceases to amaze me, I spent nearly 2 hours the other night leveling up pets in Stonetalon and searching for a rare 5000 only to go away completely empty handed. Tonight I've seen 3 rares already in maybe 15 battles. Glad I can finally stop searching for this one I prefer Duskwood for level 5-7 battles.
Found some in Windshear Crag, Stonetalon Mts. As main and secondary pet.
In Azshara i got it as a green secondary pet many times, but in winterspring got it as a rare first battle.
Was suprised to find one as the front animal just outside Everlook because I was under the impression they only came as secondaries to other animals in the zone.
Was leveling pets in Winterspring. This was my second battle versus an Alpine Hare, and this guy showed up as a rare as a second. Was almost directly in the middle of Frostsaber Rock and the hidden grove.
Found my rare in Azshara. Came as a partner to a Twilight Beetle, but you can also find them at the Rocket Exchange area and stuff.. Along with the Robo-Chick too.
Funny thing is, the Robo-Chick was also a partner to a Twilight Spider.
Stonetalon Mountains. Windshear Crag. 7:15 server. On his own, not as part of some other pet's battle.
Picked up a poor quality as back up to a Crystal Spider in Winterspring.
Just fought 10 Alpine Hares. Rabid Nut Varmint 5000's accompanied 4 of them. Too small a sample to get an accurate percentage, but don't necessarily forgo Alpine Hares if you're still needing this one.
Caught this guy around winterspring. Really love this pet, use him a lot at 25!
Also found this guy around the towers in Azshara. First few towers, there were some around but not battleable. At the last tower I checked there were two that were both fightable; the first was grey, the second was green so I kept that one.
Found 7pm server inside the walls of Everlook
Best place I found is north of the Krom'Gar Fortress in Stonetalon Mountains. Caught 4 before finding two uncommon.
Had no luck getting this in Azshara after spending a long time farming there. Was too low for Winterspring at the time so tried Stonetalon. Found one as soon as i got there, near Windshear hold.
Likes to hang out with the Alpine Hares and other critters in Winterspring. I've yet to see him as a main creature but about 80% of the time I go after an Alpine Hare there I get one of these joining in so he's easy to pick up.
Mine joined in a battle with a Twilight Beetle at Sable Ridge.
Found a blue one near Windshear Hold in Stonetalon mountains.
Found this guy near the rocketway towers in Azshara
