These are the coords I have noted thus far:
It is indeed a bit more than one step outside the walls, its more like 30-40 steps with your character. But, I also found one very close to the center of the town, so they are just really spread out, it seems.
Great for the last levels of pet battling. Strong against the everpresent beasts and critters in the wild, with the HP neccessary to ofset the 50 % miss of demolish; not to mention the excellent pairing of the mechanical ability with Repair. Excellent in PvP battles when paired with Mr Wiggles; who boosts demolish up to 100% hit with some extra crit thrown in. Robocub threatens the beasts likely to switch in to wiggles, and Wiggles soaks the elemental attacks that threaten the robo cub.
For those seeing pets on the ground while using the flight point taxi system, you are seeing them due to Cross Realm Zones (CRZ). You fly in one realm (presumably your own) and you land in another. No one can get them in the realm you flew over.
Awesome pet!!! Has a really nice toolkit with Supercharge+Demolish+Heal...doesn't get much better then that.
When I went to Everlook, I saw a few pets up, none were the cub. Went around killing all the critters and battlepets. After about a 1/2 hour, I saw a paw to the south of the road. I figured it was a squirrel, but it was my robo cub. He was rare quality. Make sure you look at the area around Everlook, as they dont spawn just in the city!
I just caught mine! As someone suggested, I killed all the robot-critters in Everlook. Since they didn't respawn immideatly, I went off to fight owls for five or so minutes. When I got back, it was right at the entrance - and a rare one too! :D
@Goldenboy116 They fixed it so pets won't spawn at server reset anymore. A lot of people were complaining about the pets not being up at the start yesterday. A blue replied and said that it was working as intended and that several of the new pets have very long respawn timers.
The Agony of Killing a Blue...Today I was hunting for an elusive blue quality Cub. I’ve got a toon camped out in Winterspring and check a couple of times a day, killing off the pets that don’t have blues on the team, and finally, this morning I found one! In great anticipation, I right clicked on the cub and accidentally clicked on a wandering mob. Slightly annoyed, I tried again…and instantly, BAM-DEAD goes my precious Cub. NOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!!
LOL, live and learn! :D
Seems like I'm showing up 2 years after the party :)
This one took some work. I had to park an alt in Winterspring because my main couldn't seem to find any cubs at all, except for a lone poor quality one. Finally this morning, 5 minutes before I had to go to work, I finally discovered a rare H/H. Hurray!
This little guy is fast becoming one of my favourite pets to use. I'm using a rare quality breed 6, so full health, and despite having lower speed and power numbers, he is still incredibly strong. Supercharge + Demolish is an extremely powerful combo, even with the reduced chance to hit. Definately a must have!
Nesingwary 12:50am coords 59,45 just north of Everlook. I had been fighting all the pets in the area around Everlook for about an hour. This guy popped up as the lead pet of 3. Poor quality. I'll keep him and keep looking. :)
When i arrived at Everlook there were none in the area but after clearing out all the mech critters outside and inside the town limit one spawned near the horde Flight master. The cub turned out to be an uncommon spawn. I am happy to have gotten one even if it was not a rare. Good Luck all in your hunt for one of these cool pets.
I finally got a stone to upgrade my uncommon to rare. But does anyone know if the Demolish "high chance to miss" changes frequency when changing to a rare? I had a battle today (b4 I got the stone) where it missed 6 times in a row and then the poor bear was done for. I can't see this guy being useful against the masters in Pandaria if he misses all the time. Or could the misses be more often if he is too low level? (lev 19 robo vs lev 25 beast) Any thoughts?
Not sure if the killing everything around works or if i got a bit of luck: got there and no robo cubs around, killed all critters and other pets and got one poor, tried again and got another poor, killed everything again for quite a while and nothing happened
About gave up. Then tried logical strat. Killed everything inside/around EL, even 2 squirr and rabb crit. Ran outside circut killing all rspns. Took 3 circ's then a cub would pop...(1) only. Wash, rinse, repeat...in toto...(7) cubs popped doing this, RARE was #4. 1 spwnd "IN" EL city.
Spawn points: #1 Out front door of EL 58,50
#2 By WH Stags 61,46
#3 E. of All Griff Mast (left of path) 60,50(fav spwn pt for cub)
#4 Left of road down embankment 59,53
Picked one up today at 9pm ET just south of Winterspring. Mine was only a poor, but in my opinion no robotic bear could EVER be described as "poor".
It's a robot bear cub.
I have seen more outside of Everlook than in it. I would recommend starting in the center of Everlook, go outside to just across the road, then make a big circle around the town. That should cover all the area that they can be spotted in. The coordinates below are a good guide as well.
They typically seem to spawn in places where the Rabid Varmints, Rabbots, or Robo-Chicks spawn. I'm not sure there is a correlation between killing them and cubs spawning...but it kills some of your waiting time.
Found one just behind the horde FP next to Everlook, looked quite a bit and never saw one as a secondary.
About 8:50pm realm time.
My Fairweather Friend. When it's going good, it's going great. Unfortunately, the 50% on Demolish is more realistically closer to 20%. When it does land, it's glorious, but ultimately not worth all the misses. I got mine easily just going around Winterspring. I didn't know how rare they were until I started reading up here. I found 3 rare quality with no problem, but that was in 2012 or 2013, maybe they're more scarce now? It's a cool pet to have, just not very practical to have one that misses.
