Apothecary Hummel is a high level boss that may be summoned in the Shadowfang Keep instance. To summon Hummel, someone in the group must have the quest, [80]You've Been Served (a daily quest available only during Love is in the Air). Hummel may be repeatedly summoned and killed if more than one party member has the quest.

NOTE: The drop rate is an estimate based on previous event boss drop rates.

Ran it everyday on 6 Level 90s This Year 7 Toxic Wasteling Pets no mount :(

even tho the drop is still quite low its only a Uncommon.

BTW if anyone need this for there collection just hit me up

My guess is they increased the drop rate. Three atempts on the rocket mount, 3 pets... =/ And I already had it from last year. Damn luck ¬¬

I've tried to get this for several years now and this time I got it on first try. I don't know if they upped the drop rate or if I just got lucky. Either way I'm happy.

I tried to get this last year with no luck. On Sunday morning my first try on the dungeon and I got it! =D I'm so happy and I've tried to get it to eat dear and cows but it isn't. It also does get condiserbly large when I let it eat rabbits lol

well, guess i'll have to try again next year. just ran the last love is in the air boss battle this morning and opened my prettily wrapped box, no toxic wasteling. *sigh* i did however, tally up 3 vile fumigator's masks and 2 forever-lovely roses after this 14 day run. go figure.

After doing this quest every single day it has been available (since it was put in game, not just this year), I finally got my Toxic Wasteling today. I just kind of sat there stunned for a second. I have had crap luck in all the RNG pets since they started the whole one bag per day thing. Maybe 2012 will be my good luck year :)

I don't have this yet, but know several that do. I wish Blizz had made it a different color than the Disgusting Oozeling. Like purple - or pink! :)

After doing the dungeon every day since the love is in the air boss was introduced I queued up today (last day of the holiday) expecting to be let down yet another year. To my surprised I got it on the last day and I couldn't be more giddy ^^ I've been running around all the chickens and lizards in Org playing with him =) I love how after a few critters he's a respectable size as well as the gloppy noises he makes.

DITTO...the problem is not the dungeon i can get through it with the guildies easy enough, its the drop rate that is horrid. will never see it or the mount at this rate...sigh

Update! I finally got the pet. It took a year and a half worth of daily dungeons (21-22 attempts). Be patient, and it will come to you too with a bit of work and some luck... You might also bring some critters out to entice it, I hear it has a voracious appetite! :O

Update: The quest "You've Been Served" is no longer in the game, and Apothecary Hummel no longer directly drops this pet. Instead, you can run the Crown Chemical Company dungeon once a day (during Love is in the Air) to get a Heart Shaped Box; this pet has a chance to be in that box.

The Toxic Wasteling is a most misunderstood pet. Everyone accuses him of devouring other critters, but they've got it all wrong. This little ball of ooze is filled to the brim with love! That's why he only appears when Love is in the Air. He expresses his heartfelt passion by hugging nearby critters. And when he accidentally smothers the life out of them, he swells with sadness. Either that or gas. Probably gas.
