This pet is chosen among four vanity pets as a reward after completing a chain of Children's Week quests that begin in Outland. These quests may be accessed by characters level 60+. See the Guide to Children's Week for a detailed walkthrough of this chain. Other rewards for the final quest include Egbert, Willy and Peanut. Collecting all four pets on the same character is possible (over the course of four years) since the quests are repeatable each year.

I sure wish this would show up in the AH sometime.  I've seen other CW pets in there but not Legs. :(

Ever since seeing these guys in Zanger I have wanted one as a pet. Guess that means another year before I get Veteran Nanny.

I've some good news, Blizzard messed up Children's Week. From this day till tomorrow 23:59pm you can redo the children's week quests. If you're lucky you can still get Legs and or the pet for the achievement.

Just wanted to mention you this.

Using Papa Hummel's pet biscuit on Legs means he is now a tiny bit taller than my Bloodelf Mage. Great looking pet!

I must say he's a cool little pet. I always thought having one of the fen striders as a companion would be neat. His walking animations are very good and he's a nice tall pet. I'm glad I already had eggbert so I didn't have to decide which one to get =)

I'm afraid I've been bitten by the green-eyed monster when it comes to this pet. Oh the wonders of having such long legs. Can you sense my Gnomish envy? Then again, it must be such a hassle to get out of bed in the morning or even to sit down with all those lengthy limbs.
