Arcane Eye

Flew to Kara to try to battle the last Master Pet Tamer. Found exactly one Arcane Eye, close to noon server time. Fortunately, it was rare. Now I only have to come back for the other pet and I'll be done with Deadwinds Pass. :)

I am not sure if this the best place to ask a question, but since it is (IMO) the best and most comprehensive pet site, I am willing to risk the down votes.  I have used these wild pets to level several mechanical pets up and througout all these battles, I have come across a total of three rares which I have captured and kept.  Since capturing the last one, I have not seen any more. None.  I have never heard of any sort of limit, does anyone have an idea why this would be?

I have this and my Celestial Dragon together while leveling up other pets and they make a great tag team especially on those tough wilds that just "get your goat" so to speak. If you do this combo, have your dragon with arcane winds then switch to your eye, open with drain power, then use mana surge (does have a chance to miss) then follow with psychic blast. hopefully by the time this is over you should either need to switch back to the dragon or the battle is finished. found a lot of these today about 4pm central time had to battle 4 til i got an uncommon and then about 4 more to get a rare found the rare on top of the building at 49 69 

I have been grinding a lot of these over the last few days to level up a bunch of low level pets.  The only rare Arcane Eye I have yet fought (and captured) was level 16 (you can see in my collection that it is still 16).  All others I have seen were 17 or 18 as the database says.

Edit:  Sorry, didn't realize pets in this level range lose a level when tamed.

About 5am Zangarmarsh time or 7pm EDT I snagged a rare Arcane Eye first battle to replace the green from a previous trip. They are on the grounds and sometimes on the balconies of the towers. At this time there were many of them all around the place. There is also the Master Pet Trainer with the daily quest if you have unlocked them :)

Is it just me or did something happen to these after 5.2? Each time I've been by there I can see none. They used to be all over the place. Is anyone else experiencing this also?

Found a rare-quality one yesterday. It was the only battle pet in the area so lucky me! It was evening-hours EST so not sure what that equates to in-game but it never hurts to do a fly-through.

Flew into Deadwind Pass at 3:30 AM CST on a Sunday, they were all over the place.  They respawned until about 3:37. 

I don't know if this is a fluke or not, but I ended up having this as the only pet against me in the fight. It made it incredibly easy to catch one. You can use low-level pets to catch one, about 3 lvl 10s is more than enough. I hope blizz doesn't change this.

I found mine in early of the morning. I found these all over. Then, I went into a basment that one of the old houses had and got some restless shadelings. When I came back up the arcane eyes were all gone! A while since, I was flying near the area and I found one on top of the raid. I think you can mainlt find them early in the morning along with the restless shadelings. Hope this helps! Happy Hunting!! :D

I love these for lvling my guys.

Perfect location as one is usually spawned next to the daily Pet Master at the back of Kara.  Very easy battle.  Plain look but being a MAGE how could I not get a rare of the Arcane Eye. 

Found tons of these right around Kara including two rares.  These battles seem to be great for leveling up dragonkin.  My L10 spawn of onxyia could easily take on the L18 eyes.

They spawn all around Kara in the Dead Wind pass; spawn timer seems to be rather random from what I could remember, but all in all it was worth the wait. Very nice looking pet. Not the best pet battles, but hey! Now I got an eye to watch my back! ;)

found an uncommon on the road just south of The Vice

Just caught one at 7:45 AM EST! He was uncommon and was found near the entrance to Kara. I also found another on top of a tower, but he was poor quality. No sign of a rare. LOVE this little guy! Cool abilities, and looks awesome when summoned floating along near your character. :)

Despite what some have said, it DOES spawn during the day, just caught one outside the Kara entrance at 12:30 server time.

Not sure if its just luck, but its seems that they are always spawned around Kara whenever i go there. Ususally in the evening hours though, but normally 5-8 at least. Have yet to get one a better quality then the uncommon, so maybe its not luck after all.
