Finding elders is made super simple if you use a waypoint addon in combination with the elder's locations. I used TomTom and was surprised at how fast I was able to get them all. To get elder waypoints, check out the specific achievement on Wowhead. You can find simple macros that will tell you exactly where to go!

I lucked out and had a friendly person whose main is in the opposing faction go on his toon in my faction to hit up Trade for a partner. Worked out perfectly (yay being a packrat and having some coins from last year!) so I was able to get them both.

I imagine some will migrate to the neutral auction houses or to the different faction auction houses for those that have more than one account, but I imagine that the prices will be high.

I'm glad the horde can get the blue pets as well as the pink, since blue is my favorite color...finally blizz realized we want more BoE pets. You get 84 tokens, for one character, not enough for two unless you have some from last year, but I just used my alts to get more...any alt that is big enough to fly in cata can get 50 tokens( not as easily as an 85 but it can be done)

Bought it in game and it doesn't show on my Pet Journal. Contacted a Blizzard GM and he told me it is called "Festival Lantern" on the journal.

I leveled the Horde version of this up, gave it a magic stone, and it's a pretty decent counter to the supercharge 1-shot mechanical pets added in patch 5.1.

 

Can't be 1-shotted, due to the magic passive.

 

Flash is fairly reliable at making the enemy pet miss, and its basic elemental attack hits mechanicals for about 450 damage.

Just got my Lunar Lantern right now with the 50 elder coins. The Lunar Lantern is going for a ridiculous amount on the auction house on my server but any true collector needs to keep this neat little light for themselves.

A friend of mine plays alliance on a different server than the one we play horde on. He faction changed just after lunar festival and got 50 again just so I could have both =D now that's a nice friend. TBF I farmed 50 more to give his ally a horde one =)

It bobs up and down and does a little "shimmy" that is barely noticeable, it also makes a sparkly sound when clicked, but that's about it, haven't noticed it doing any interactions with other pets. At least it's one more to my 150 :D

so, does anyone else feel like they're being followed by a jellyfish like in Spongebob?

@Jeolene The red one does resemble a jellyfish... if those tassels were also red, the similarity would be even stronger.

The on-click sounds are VERY faint. I could barely hear them even with sound levels maxxed. There was a slight water droplet sound, followed by a shimmering/sparkle sound.
