I just got three Minfernal using the DK trick and a low population server. I leveled my DK through the opening stages, went to Fernwood, logged out and went to sleep, logged back in around 1am East Coast and they were EVERYWHERE. I got a HP, PP, and PS within ten minutes!!! I honestly didn't think it would be that easy. FINALLY finished my Kalimdor Safari achievement.
So according to the comments the best chance you have of getting one of these is with a Death Knight. Considering the type of creatures these are, with the release of Legion, I wodner what are the chances for a Demon Hunter get these?
So after years of hunting this critter, and I do mean years, I followed the tips creating a deathknight on the Brazil servers. Here I am going this will never work and just before bed, I check the server and break into tears. There at my feet is a uncommon one just sitting there. Almost shocked beyond belief. Five year just on casual play and never saw one except on a flyover on griffon. My safari is finally complete due to the tips on this group.. It took two days really before getting one.
This one may be dependent on weather. I caught mine in the rain. Does anyone know of an addon that it tells the weather in each zone when you log on?
After spending almost 2 months looking for an Unborn Valkyr, the WoW gods smiled on me, for once, and I found my Minfernal on my first trip looking. Took me about 15 realm hops and 30 minutes. I don't recall the exact server on which I found her, but I know it was one of the realms listed for new players on the login server list. On each server, I made a quick circuit of the area hitting each known spawn point, then hopped again. I found her a little before noon on a Tuesday. Good luck hunting!
Alright so I see a lot of ways people have gotten this so I'm here to post mine.
Me and my boyfriend made Death Knights on a RP Server (Sentinels). After the starting area we headed straight to where they are located, and there were two there, both commons but eh. So I would reccomend this method as I've seen it work for others :)
I've decided that killing the infernals or critters around the spawn area is mostly for staving off boredom (which I totally did, by all means go for it!). After I don't know how many hours, I went AFK to let the dog out and came back to a minfernal staring me in the face!
Have searched for this so many times I had given up. So after months of not bothering I came back and got him first go by the southernmost pools! He's only poor quality but I DON'T CARE!!!!
Just been hoping servers and found mine on Sentinnels got 2 of them 8-) I left alts on 4 dif servers and just hopped around even had my hordies doing it.
I just grabbed a poor P/B in Dalaran (approx. 0108hrs server time). I had just popped in for a once around killing the Infernal Sentries. I hadn't finished my circuit when he spawned right in front of me. I know it's just electrons and pixels but, I swear, he looked just as as surprised as I felt. I don't care about the breed. i have a stone and I'm gonna' use it! (Talk about coincidence. This happened almost exactly as it does on the Pet Battles 101 youtube vid. LOL)
After seaching for months for this little guy I decided to start a DK on an oceanic low pop server. As soon as I landed there he was. It was a comon one, but i took it ASAP just in case. So i looked to see if there were more. There were 5 out there and one was a Rare. What was I thinking spending hours camping on my regular server. I now have the zoo keeper title!!
I actually ended up with 2, a H/H and P/S. Not sure what one I should upgrade to rare and level up..
Meant to UP-rate Oldfarts' comment 'cause I'm an RP geek and love stuff like that. I've not made a serious attempt at the Minfernal yet, passing by on perhaps six occasions looking but no luck so far. Time to station a toon here, probably a hunter so that they can survive a long wait!
i must've got lucky! Found mine on just my second run through felwood, little guy was walking around close to the southernmost pool , rare too! Breed P/S.
Day 36: Still no sign of the elusive Minfernal. Supply's running low. Not so much as a jucy rabbit here. Some of my pets are starting to look tasty. But I will endure...
I once tried briefly before to find one, but tried again at about 1 am; went to 44,41 and killed the ordinary mobs for 10 minutes, and a minfernal appeared!
I finally found mine at 07:10 realm time after several weeks of camping so patience is indeed a virtue if you really want this pet. Mine was found at
40.8/43.6 and already rare so that was an added bonus. I did not do any clearing of other pet battles or killing of critters or mobs in the area.
When I came through searchign for pets, on my initial search of this pet I found it extremely easy to find and found 2 Uncommons back to back. Wasn't until i checked online that I heard he is rare to find. They didn't seem to respawn quickly sadly. So I hope I didn't farm them all.
Here are some things I noticed while finding my Minfernal:
Is this still that hard to get? Because I was checking for them every now and then some months ago and then I just let it be. Today I was wandering around so I flew to their zone and there were three minfernals there. H/H, H/P and P/S.
