Before being able to farm for this companion, players must complete a quest chain. This chain is started at the entrance of the Eastern Plaguelands (from Western Plaguelands) and is given by the NPC Fiona. See our Community Guide: Mr. Grubbs for details.

Took me about an hour and a half, around 30ish bags, I was farming the resurectors south of plaguewood, they respawn awfully fast, and there's alot of them. Additionally, there is no quest that requires killing them, that I recall, and clearing them away from the giant corpses actually helps lowbies quest faster, win win win. Flip on Mr. Grubs, flip on.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE - go to Zul'Mashar. I farmed carrion grubs and devourers for probably 3 hours. Went to Zul'Mashar and got three Mr. Grubbs within 10 minutes (hadn't realized BoP and was farming for more). Run back and forth over the graves in the middle and AoE them down - mobs there had great drop rates. These mobs also dropped greens, blues, and cloth - beats the vendor trash the grubs were dropping.

You don't need to kill grubs, any mob in the area can drop the bag.
I got mime by killing an undead while doing the new quests at the zone in front of Stratholme.

I was really lucky or the droprate is quite high. I got my Mr.Grubbs in the 3rd bag so I killed around 25/30 mobs. Took me less than 10 minutes. Good luck finding one for yourself!

I just wanted to clarify something about this pet. Mr. Grubbs can drop from ANY Hidden Stash bag, not just the ones that come from the grubs. I just got him on my druid, from a Hidden Stash that dropped from a Scarlet Cleric in Tyr's Hand.

Did the pre-quest, killed a lot of mobs around Zul'Mathar (the graves are great for AoE farming), got it on bag #13. Bag #14 had one as well. The Flip animation is so cute.

My level 44 hunter just got this guy from her 2nd bag >< I only decided to take the luck buff while leveling in the zone to see what the drop rates were like! Now I'm dreading farming it on my main, I can't be that lucky twice!

Just to be clear to those seeking this pet: people saying they got it in one or even 11 attempts are the EXCEPTION, *not* the RULE.

I've been farming for 3 hours. The drop rate on the [Hidden Stash] is, in my experience, somewhere around 1 in 50 mobs killed. I've probably gone through at least 30 [Hidden Stash]] with no pet.

In my opinion the best place to farm is to kill the Plagued Swine in Terrordale (upper west corner.) They are very low level, plentiful, and spawn FAST.

KK, here r my numbers:

223 Carrion Grubs = 18 Hidden Stash
113 Carrion Devourer = 16 Hidden Stash
----------------------------------------
336 Kills = 34 Hidden Stash

It took me an hour and 7 mins.

Iv found that zul'mashar is the best place to farm for the grub. Its an enclosed area with a good amount of mobs, also there are graves around that spawn zombies that also have a chance to drop the hidden stash.

There is very little downtime.

He was easier to get then I thought he'd be! Farmed for about an hour...no luck...ate Thanksgiving dinner came back...and only five minutes of being logged on he dropped off a grub mob! At the time I didn't know he had a chance to drop off any mob in Eastern Plaguelands. GOOD LUCK pet hunters!

Like many others, I got mine off a carrion grub near LHC, while farming up the 15 grub steaks. Drop rate appears to be fairly high, I didn't go out of my way to farm bags. FWIW, I did get Hidden Stashes from every type of undead and plagued mob I killed, while humanoid and named mobs didn't drop any.

I got mine in the 2nd. Took rougly 10 minutes to farm after completing the quest. I, too, farmed south of Lights Hope. Full of larvas, can't miss them. I'm REALLY glad it dropped early, since I have extreme phobia for anything larva like. The pet is kinda funny, but a bit nasty.

I got mine in my 22nd bag :D And my friend farming it with me got it in his 5th. Pretty good drop rate compared to some other pets I've spent over 10hours farming for. :)

I got mine after about 30 minutes of farming following the quests. Dropped off a lvl 42 Scourge Guard so you don't need to stick to yellow carrion.

I was killing a ton of undead just North West of the Westwall Tower around 60.35, 36.51. There's several Golems, Nerubians, and Scourge. Ix'lar the Underlord also wonders around here. Found this to have a great drop rate of the Hidden Stash and a really nice respawn of the mobs. Very little downtime for me. Enjoy and good luck!

Also, der kleine "Maderich", wie er auf Deutsch heißt, der droppt in den Paketen "gebunkerte Güter". Da steht zwar nur, dass es Geld ist, was da drin zu finden ist, aber Maderich ist da auch drin, dieser Sack ist so in jedem 10. Mob drin, mal öfter, mal seltener, und da hat ich ihn im 20. Sack etwa, Geduld sollte man mitbringen, allerdings geht der Platz an der Kapelle des hoffnungsvollen Lichts sehr gut. Alleine kann man die fast garnicht so schnell legen, wie die wieder spawnen^^

If there was a competition to determine the most nimble and athletic pet, Mr. Grubbs would definitely give all others a run for their money. He's an absolute bundle of energy for being such a small grub! My only worry is that one day he'll miscalculate the jump trajectory and wind up in my hair... yuck!
