Before being able to farm for this companion, players must complete a quest chain. This chain is started at the entrance of the Eastern Plaguelands (from Western Plaguelands) and is given by the NPC Fiona. See our Community Guide: Mr. Grubbs for details.

Although im an avid collector... and I have this need to have every pet in the game. This thing just isnt something id ever really have out unless I am running through plague lands. Mostly for fear I might catch something nasty from having it out.

I have completed over 16 hours of farming over 4 days, plus about 3 additional hours of questing, and have yet to get the pet. I farmed with Fiona's buff with the first set of quests... I farmed after questing her to Light's Hope, and I have farmed 8 hours after questing a Full Caravan Achievement.I have farmed Corin's, I have farmed Zulmashar, and I have farmed grubs. I have farmed up 217 Hidden Stashes.

There is no truth the rumor that the full caravan increases drop rate.

100 bags in and no drop yet. I think I am the unluckiest pet collector in the game.

I was worried I was doing something wrong. All the comments you guys put up are appreciated. I have killed roughly 300 of those banana monsters (grubs) and looted at least 40 bags and have yet to get my pet. =( Bad luck I'm guessing = / Hopefully i will get him soon so I can continue getting my Fox Kit <3

I think the drop rate on this one varies ... I got the buff from Fiona at the first tower, and the first guy I killed dropped a hidden stash and inside it was the companion.

this was my 100th pet and my favourite by miles just do all quests in the eastern plaguelands once u got charm i got mine in less than an hour by doing quests there i was only at the seacond tower and when your reading this just remember U HAVE TO GET THIS PET ITS THE BEST LOLS

Got mine today, nice pet.

My strategy was this: Get "Fionas Lucky Charm" and then forget the pet. I did the Fiona questline for achievement, and, after that, I only went to Eastern Plagueland when there was a digsite up for afcheology. And every mob that came near this explorer got killed!

After some months, I got the pet, without boring grind. Was my pet number 109.

Close to 200 mobs later (decided to go for the worms) this pet is finally mine.I´ve been short on luck with this pet gathering :D but I wont give up...I find Grubbs cute :)) Im so glad I got him.

I managed to obtain this pet off the carrion worms he resembles not long after I started farming him (I'm not usually so lucky!).
This is the most agile little grub ever, and a fantastic pet due to his awesome idle animation. Every time I'm showing off my pets to a friend, this is the one I pull out that they have not seen/heard of.
As this pet is BoP also, you'll never see it at the AH, so get farming!

I went to Zul'Mashar for 3-4 hours grinding my heart away. Nothing.I must have opened at least 75 bags. So I left for the day and came back the next day. A person on my server said that the more people you have in your caravan the better your chances. LIES! It seemed to lower my bag drop rate. I then went south of lights hope to farm grubbs for 4 more hours and still nothing. My heart sank and I was sure this pet was a myth! I went back to Zul and got him in 5 mintues. HE does exist!!

I'm afraid I didn't read all the information on collecting this pet before I started. I just saw, "begins with Fiona", and figured the rest would fall into place. So of course, I didn't select the Lucky buff, I picked the one with the little girl. Now I have a cute little ghost following me around, but no chance of getting Mr. Grubbs. Now I wonder, how are you supposed to know about these things, unless you read about them in advance? It's like "secret" Westfall chicken, 11 herbs & spices.

Got 3 of them while doing the Eastern Plagueland Quests achievement, starting with Fiona's quests. I can confirm that many (if not all) mobs can drop bags containing the pet, not just the Grubb mobs.

I got mine in my 11th hidden stash bag. The grubs by lights hope were definitely a great place to farm.

Took me 2 hours to farm, I have lost count of the bags i opened after 40. But I finally got him from the Grubs just south of the chapel :D

after reading all these comments I realized this pet isn't very rare at all, I think it took me about 10 bags to open. Overall with the quests and the farming I think it took about an hour to obtain this pet.

If there was a competition to determine the most nimble and athletic pet, Mr. Grubbs would definitely give all others a run for their money. He's an absolute bundle of energy for being such a small grub! My only worry is that one day he'll miscalculate the jump trajectory and wind up in my hair... yuck!
