Alliance Guilds can unlock this pet by completing the Profit Sharing guild achievement (loot 100,000 gold from creatures). A Horde version is available to Horde guilds.

The Guild Herald acts as a portable guild vendor, allowing players to buy guild rewards from anywhere (4 hour cooldown). This companion is on the same cooldown as the Guild Page.

Members must be revered with their guild to purchase this pet from a guild vendor.

Somehow after 5.0.4 this "pet" is shown as not yet obtained by WarcraftPets Express and other similar addons. I have it, of course, and my Pet Atlas lists him - not the horde version though. Maybe that's the reason addons do not recognize him?

Herald is on a 4 hour CD. The Page is on an 8 hour CD. Also, everyone in your guild can use the Herald, unlike the page. No repairs, just vendor to buy/sell from. Also, the Herald and Page share a CD, so if you summon the Herald, it will trigger a 4 hour CD on the Page.

Beware of having him out and logging out, when you log back in he will be resummoned.

I was not too happy about the cooldown, but to make it worse this new "constant companion" thing Blizzard did for pets affects these guys, too!

Case in point, I hit honored late last night. Got the pet. Summoned him, and logged. The next day I logged on, and for some reason when I hearthed to Stormwind he got "called" again- thus resetting the timer though I'd not chosen to summon him!

Bah!

Quick question on this. Is the four-hour cooldown to summon or only to use the vendor feature? In other words, can you summon it at any time infinitely but only use the sales feature on cool down, similar to the Argent Squire/Gruntling with the Argent Pony Bridle upgrade?

These DO count as a normal pet, so be careful if you use a pet addon like kennel, as it will pop these guys unless you exclude them manually >.<

He's your very own portable vendor. He even sells a few pets! Wait a minute... that gives me an idea: Field Reps for my pet shop! Imagine it... hundreds of sales reps for the Magical Menagerie covering every square mile of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. My profits would be through the roof! You know, sometimes I wonder if I don't have a little Goblin blood in my lineage.
