The distinct roar of the moonkin is one of the most terrifying sounds in nature.

Occasionally will throw a flower at the player's feet. Dances with players who initiate /dance with it. Also sometimes hops up and flaps its wings.

Players can emote /dance while targeting Moonkin Hatchling and it will dance with them.

Requires purchase from Blizzard Store.

This pet is available for digital download exclusively from the Blizzard Store. Characters will receive a Moonkin Egg containing either this version or the Alliance version depending on their faction.

It may be purchased using any major credit card. Players who purchase this pet will receive a code which may be redeemed on a single WoW account. Thus, players who have more than one WoW account bound to their Battle.net accounts must choose which account will receive this pet. Codes may also be purchased as gifts for other players.

As of Patch 4.0.6, the Moonkin Hatchling will fly along side a player mounted on a flying mount.

Not sure if it is a bug or intentional but my Horde toon has both the Alliance and Horde versions of this pet. They are both counting towards my pet achievments as well. However while my horde toon does have the alliance version I can't summon it.

As of patch 5.0.4 it IS possible for you to have both, I know since I just did this. All my toons were alliance, however I made a horde toon to check the AH, in the mail I recieved this pet and used it. After deleting my horde toon, my alliance toon still has access to this pet. Really made my night! Test it if you don't believe! ^.^

Hmm...I find It quite interesting that the Alliance version has yellow eyes (the colour of the Horde moonkin hatchling) and the Horde hatchling has blue eyes (the colour of the Alliance moonkin hatchling).

Now, not only does this guy have the best /dance animations, he has the cutest flight animations, as well! Definitely one to keep out while you're showing of your latest flight mount acquisition. :)

Here's a thought - Of all of us that purchased this pet, how many of us have ONLY Horde toons? If you have a Alliance toon, and they now have this pet, you are now forced to become a multi-character collector.

so cute ^-^ I just love him, got him mainly for my tauren balance druid so she can have a little company. the animation vids (just before they released him) did not do him justice, the sounds this guy makes are to die for ^-^ .

His little arms are able to flap and make him fly off the ground, even if only for a small bit. Maybe there is hope for his Bigger brothers and sisters yet!

Plus he grows flowers randomly to bring cheer and smiles to your day.

He is the best! I love my little Moony (As is the name i have given mine)

The dance is a /command you can give him. Also, he'll occasionally cast a spell and make nature grow! Taking after his namesake, he's the most eco-friendly pet so far.

It's funny how these little tykes are able to fly. I mean, just look at your adult counterparts. They can never fly, what with their big moonkin butts. Heck, they're so pudgy they can barely run. Waddle is more like— *struck by Moonfire spam* OUCH! Darn druids...
