Stunted Yeti

Finding these fellows took a few trips & a few rounds of clearing out the caves (though I don't know that that truly helps them spawn).  It seems to be feast or famine with them.  When they're up, they respawn faster than you'll be able to mow through them looking for a rare.

These pets have no self heals, but they're sturdy and hit like a tank against the right opponents.  You may not want to use this when battling blues as they can often take out a foe in a couple of swats.

I went in the afternoon, no pets at all. I returned the following morning at 7 am server and the caves were absolutely packed with them. Get up early for a good chance at this pet.

Found a rare inside the cave after about 20 battles.  Originally there were no stunted yets at all so I killed all the mobs and critters in the caves then some of the pets would spawn.  I would suggest killing everything in caves and some may appear.

Got mine this morning, after being there several times with nothing up decided to do a fly by and there were 2 up at 5 am server and I was the only one there.  One poor to the east of the cave, rare one in the clearing through the cave.

Got my rare 10:24 am server. Back of cave about 10th try. mostly poor dropped then 2 uncommon back to back and then rare.

I finally got a rare one, but it took some time. For those that are interested, it was ~ 100 tries before i got a rare. Today i tried 19, last night 43 and around 30 in the 2 days before. When the cave is filled, there can be 22+ yetis, i had that on 2 realms in a row last night.

There were about a dozen Stunted Yeti in the cave at 53.1, 56.2 this morning at around 9:00 AM server time.  I caught an uncommon and left the rest for everyone else.  There weren't any rares :(

Got my rare after capturing poor, common, and uncommon in front of and between the caves. The rare spawned at 52.3 60.9 near the back of the main cave 835am EDT and 635 Zangarmarsh time. There were maybe ten spawns. On previous trips I found maybe one or none. Maybe they do not respawn after the initial spawn for a long time. I'm so happy :) I did not kill the others in looking for this rare but left them for others, good hunting!

Entered the cave at 53.2, 56.2 found a rare about the 5th one. Moonguard, 1734 server time.

Hello all, new here. I am having a bit of difficulty finding these now. Is anyone else? I have been here for over 2+ hours in the area that was on wowhead and read all comments here and there. Thanks for the help

If you glance at the battle info, this guy looks like an amazing critter killer. Strong attacks and strong defense. I haven't tried him yet but I suspect he will be my go-to squad exterminator when fighting wild pets.

I finally captured a rare after several hours of frustrating hunting. The one I caught was actually outside the cave system. I can confirm that they do spawn all through the caves and in the small grassy area too.

Got mine at 9:55pm ST on Illidan.  He was the only one outside the cave (55.77, 56.26) and a rare!  I didn't see anymore paws indicating more inside the cave.  Looks like he was the only one around.  I never even knew these guys existed b/c he isn't on the Kalimdor Safari list.  I just happened to be traveling through Feralas, and saw him as a pet that I was missing through a pet tracking addon.  Glad I checked!

There were well over 12 spawns within the cave and two outside the cave. All the ones I'd tried were poor or common, finally inside the cave near the back got a rare around 5am server time :D

Just got em 7:00pm pst server time, about 5 spawned got myself an uncommon, no rares spawned

Went into the cave today just after server reset time.  Of the 4 stunted Yeti's  that were inside, 3 of them were rare.  Was a good morning. :)

I followed Feychild's information and I also used wowhead found a rare Stunted Yeti on my first try. :) Definitely the cave with the light. Just go through it and one was wandering around at least for me.

After hours wandering around the wrong cave, I finally found these little guys. I had to come back a couple of times before I got a rare, but it was worth it. This is a tough dude, and such a cute one!

I have been trying to get this little guy for a while, I finally came back at a time I hadn't tried previously:  Firetree, 2:58 am server time, at 56.30, 57.84.  Right outside the entrance to the Feral Yeti cave (the first entrance, not the one right behind that.)  First one I have ever seen, and he is rare!  Yes!
