A must have battle pet. Great damage mitigation.  His Crushing blow even does ok against beasts.  He is a go to pet for many of the Trainers.

I remember not getting it 2 years ago on the first try, but got it on the 2nd one. That was an old account, and today I got it on the first try for the new one ^^ Awesome pet.

Not able to live without it.  Yet fed up to see all these strats just relying on him. Must find new strat with left alone pets dusting on the cupboard

Truely an amazing battle pet. Takes the role of tanky striker and is nearly unkillable. Amazing set of diverse moves

This guy is an absolute beast!  use crush  either of the number 2 abilities are fine,  with sandstorm being better for leveling squishy new pets, and rupture,  hes really rock solid with average DPS and is nearly unkillable

This pet only comes in 1 breed H/H. Remember this when you are deciding on any humanoid pet breed. Consider the humanoid racial ability. When you inflict damage on your enemy, regardless of how much, you recieve 4% of your MAXIMUM health to heal you at the end of your turn. Having more MAXIMUM health vs power or speed makes good sense. Use skill set CRUSH / STONESKIN / RUPTURE for battling most pets in the wild. Use SANDSTORM for team protection and weather change. DEFLECTION always goes first.

With some farming, a trade and a very lucky find on the AH I now have a team of three of these guys.

Named my first Bubba, in honour of the Bruce Campbell movie Bubba Hotep. The next two ended up as Cleatus, and Maynard.

They have been a pretty good PvP team so far.

I like this pet, but it does seem to miss a LOT, close to 60% of the time. Sandstorm doesn't seem to work very well either, (if at all). Is this pet bugged? I am putting this pet on the back burner for now.

People are gonna hate for this and I don't blame ya.  I am fully aware of how the rng can screw ya.  But today I ran my first solo at Temple and not only did I get an Anubisath Idol, I also got the Mini Mind Slayer as well.  Can you say 'Stoked'?  Was a good day.

Now lets talk about how long I have been camping that bloody irritating and completely non-existant Minfernal!  Oh Well..

All the best to you campers and Pet Battlers...

I have probably done about 25 or 30 Temple of Ahn'qiraj with NO drop of Anubisath Idol from Emperor Vek'lor.

Sorta makes the 1 in 10 drop rate look a bit wrong.

Well after a few more attempts at Ahn'qiraj and still NO drop I have given this away as a bad idea.

Ended up getting a very good deal on one from a fellow player.

YES...  I now have my very own Anubisath Idol. Yee Ha! ;-)

I have also noticed Sandstorm prevents ZERO damage when using Anubisath against Aki the Chosen's pets. I used to be able to pretty much solo all three of them. Now, I'm lucky if Anubisath makes it halfway through the second pet. VERY disappointing and lame of Blizz if they did in fact nerf him :(

Sandstorm's reduction is definetly off.  Some battles it reduces damage taken, others it is simply ignored.  The rabbit (Lapin) from Courageous Yon hits for full damage with every flurry it does during a sandstorm.  Although the storm says "up to" 74 damage reduced, it is reducing zero damage consistantly on this fight.

I've been reporting the 0 damage reduction from Sandstorm as a bug since 6.1 release.  Until I get told otherwise, I'm going to continue to do so.  This pet has been critical in my power-leveling as well as pvp pet battles.  The initial damage and accuracy reduction are still intact.

When you use this pet now, if you roll your mouse over sandstorm is still says damaged reduced by 74.  Once you use sandstorm it now says UP to 74.

I agree...6.1 seems to have significantly weakened Anubisath... Very disappointing. :-(

In battles where I used sandstorm to avoid a stampede style, multiple attack, I've gone to the Emerald Proto-Whelp, with the Emerald Presence defense. It's really the only option until they fix sandstorm.

Has anyone noticed, that sandstorm doesnt work as intended after 6.1 patch. At least for me it doesn't reduce dmg by 74 as it should. Seems like sandstorm has any effect.

As highly rated as this guy is, I have been fairly non-plussed by the high percentage of misses when I use Demolish or Crush. Is there any other breed than HH? I like to open with Sandstorm and sometimes use Rupture, and then use either Demolish or Crush (whichever I've got going for the fight). My guy misses up to 5x in a row, seemingly whatever I'm fighting, and I don't like using him anymore. Has he been nerfed or am I just doing something wrong?

To anyone who said they don't raid. All you have to do is walk into the dungeon by your self and go to the boss that has him. I ran by everyone on my mount and the second time I came he dropped it. It took me longer to travel to the area then it did to walk in and get him.
