This is THE pet that started it off for me. Until I received Miniwing, I really didn't give minipets much thought. I think it was the combo of having attempted the quest more times then I can count before I succeeded, the feeling of accomplishment when I felt when I did, and the complete surprise when I received him (I didn't know a pet was the loot). I may not pull him out much anymore and he may not be the first pet I ever had, but Miniwing holds that special place in this Gnome Mage's heart.

Started collecting pets after you did these quests and discarded the pet boxes for lack of space (you heartless person, You)? Fear not! Just go to any stablemaster and talk to them, and they will give you back your pet reward!

I don't know if this has changed recently since the 4.3 patch, but Miniwing also does a flirty whistle about every 4th time you click on him. Kinda cute. =)

Very easy to get this pet! Just complete the quest by talking to Skywing and escorting him, which takes less than 10 minutes. Return the quest to Shatt and you have him!

Head to Veil Shalas and close to the mountain you will see a bird called Skywing with a ! over his/her head. Take the quest and you will get the pet when your done.

Just got this with a level 67 retribution Paladin. It was pretty easy, Skywing is not a bad fighter, as long as you're willing to take some damage for him, and he heals super quickly. He will probably go back up to full health in between fights.

I've also noticed his sounds seem different - he wolf whistles and seems to 'chatter', but I still can't make out what, if anything, he's saying.

Hmm... Need some help here. I found Skywing and he has no quest to give me. He is green, so probably not a rep thing. Anyone have any ideas? I tried googling, but I haven't found any prequests that I have to do either.

Anyone?

I just did this quest with a lvl 65 mage and a 65 druid. Its very easy. But i do recommend two players if you are clothies.

It's worth mentioning that until Patch 3.0.2, Miniwing was level 96. Now he is level 1.

This quest can be easy for any class. Just do what I did and clear out part of the path (If not all of it!) before the quest. This made it much easier for my level 68 night elf hunter and I hope it does the same for all those troubled players!

I completed this quest at lvl 68 and thought it was much more difficult then others have said. It is non-stop fighting all the way until the end which leaves a lock with no mana and low health. Not to mention the fact that its an elite at the end. I did not bring anybody along because of my minion, but if I had to do it again, I probably would. So if you're doing this plan to bring a friend before you start it! Good luck!

Skywing,the questgiver, is found patrolling the southeastern part of the fringe of the Bone Wastes. Its not an incredibly difficult quest, but I think someone at the level of the mobs may want to bring a friend if they think they need help

Upon successfully rescuing Skywing, you get Miniwing. So what exactly is Miniwing? Is he the tiny offspring of Skywing? Is he just some random bird that Rilak the Redeemed had in a cage on a shelf? No... I think Miniwing was the result of an evil corporation's failed attempt at cloning Skywing. Yes... all the pieces fit! I'm on to you, Virtucon!
