I got it first time with my lvl 75 paladin raced through the only problem i had was wowhead's lack of identifying where defias pirates were with me having not done the dungeon before.

Ran with Lvl 85 Mage into DM, arcane explode all the way till the last part of the dungeon where defias pirates are found. Dropped on the 24th defias pirate body.

Me and a friend once went to Booty Bay. We started killing goblins. We killed them for about an hour, maybe more. My friend got Bloodsail Admiral, and his parrot. For some reason though, i stayed hated with the Bloodsail Buccaneers! Im with also hated with Booty Bay! Sooo, goblins and pirates hate me now. My friend was doing a most of the killing, though, i was about lvl 60. This pet makes me feel like a pirate, though :) Hmmm, goblins or pirates?

When I farmed this for me, the Macaw fell during the first run through DM.

I just farmed this for my guild mate. It took three runs through DM and it dropped one of the last pirates in that 3rd run.

I did notice that during the last instance there were "Monstrous Parrots" flying about with the Screachers. I didn't notice them on the two previous runs.

I got mine on the very last kill of my first run ^^

Also, yeah, you can buy certain vanity pets... but you you get a kinda sense of achievement when you've farmed one xD

I started farming for this pet at 55 whenever a guildie had a quest in there or something. After running it about 15 times, no luck. But I ended up with 4 Siamese Cats! Finally, after lots of frustration I found it in my mail box from a friend who was tired of hearing me complain :P

The green wing macaw makes its home with my troll hunter. She adores the vibrant red and green plumage. And with so many of these available on the alliance auction house, this parrot is often a steal! So if your heart beats horde and you're after the Green Wing, meet me under the docks at Theramore Isle and we might be able to cut a deal. I'll be in a dark trenchcoat with green feathers sticking out the sides…
