I just got a rare chicken as an addon to a fight with a maggot at the Ruins of Southshore in Hillsbrad Foothills even though it's not listed as a possible location.

Finally found a rare in Elwynn Forest, breed S/S.  I've been looking everywhere for a rare, but especially in Howling Fjord's Westguard Keep and Duskwood and only found uncommon or lower qualities.  I tried for about 30 mins yesterday and the same today in Elwynn Forest at Eastvale Logging Camp and finally got my rare.  Not sure if it is better spawn percentages in Elwynn or if I just got lucky today, but I'm happy!

I caught a poor, Uncommon, and Rare Chicken In Elwynn Forest. The Location Is be the Eastvale Logging Camp. Only took me 3 Tries to find the Rare one, but I'm lucky like that.

I got mine by battling the toads and snakes in Dustwallow Marsh, they come as the second pet to battle so you won't see it as the actual critter to click on for a battle.

I was not able to find a "wild pet" chicken in Northern Barrens, only the "critter" variety.
