Does anyone know the details of the change with multiple breeds on this?

 

Does it mean that anyone who has this, the stats have changed to the one breed?

 

Or does it mean any new drops will only be of one breed?

 

And what is the breed?

Words I never thought I'd hear from my husband at 5 in the morning. "Do you still need a caged firefly, because I just mailed one to you."

I'd pretty much given up farming for this one since cross realm zones were introduced as every time I'd been by lately the Needlers were camped.

Getting a little frustrated with this one. Been working on it some each day for over a week now. Sure would be nice if they were closer together and spawned like whelps in wetlands but at least I don't have to "deal with" having to skin these. :/

So yeah, about 20+ total mobs and oddly they don't seem to respawn at a regular rate. So if you rerun the path too quickly you will miss some.

This has been the worst grind yet for me. 1,894 so far today. Must.. keep.. going..

Edit: 2,127 loots and 11 hours later it finally dropped, right as invites were going out for raid. Phew..

I was farming the regular route doing a counter-clockwise rotation and making sure to hit the two at the bottom of the lake. Also, as far as I am aware, I had no competition the entire time.

Hang in there, remain determined, and you'll have him. Just a matter of time!

I counted 21 Bogfire Needles on each tour. As they respawn really slowly, I had to take a break of 3-5 minutes between tours, so it really was a pain in the *** to farm...
Also, if you're using bunnyhunter, it states (wrongly) that this pet drops at a rate 1 out of 1000. Don't give up though, it's awesome and really worth it!

I got the fishing daily to fish for the shrimp. I figured I'd make one round of fly killing and on my 15th kill it dropped! I've killed a crud-ton overall though.

I saw this pet and just had to try it, since it was a Rare I was thinking it would take a while, but on my first day of trying I got it on my 109th kill. :) Good luck to everyone else still trying.

This pet only took about 4 hours with about 200 kills, with 3 different runs. But on the 3rd run it dropped from the first mob. Good luck and don't give up!

My druid's worg once got curious about what a firefly tastes like. So he swallowed one whole. Can you guess what happened? He barked with de-light! *guffaws* Get it!? De-LIGHT! Hahahah! *pauses* Don't look at me like that. It's not easy to think of something funny to say about a firefly, ya know.
