My druid's worg once got curious about what a firefly tastes like. So he swallowed one whole. Can you guess what happened? He barked with de-light! *guffaws* Get it!? De-LIGHT! Hahahah! *pauses* Don't look at me like that. It's not easy to think of something funny to say about a firefly, ya know.
I have spent the last three days farming for this pet and i've gotten just about every weapon and armor that drops from these guys that have even lower drop rates then the pet itself!
So frustrating, but I will not stop until this cute little pet is mine!After the expansion opened up, I spent a considerable amount of time and effort farming this little guy, since it is reminiscent of my favorite canceled Fox series, FIREFLY. After years spent pining for this drop, taking some extended breaks from WoW, being really frustrated that others got the drop, watching the AH for a good deal on this pet, FINALLY! A grand total of 14 hours and ~2800+ kills, it dropped today. I can finally move on! Yay!!!!

Does anyone know the details of the change with multiple breeds on this?
Does it mean that anyone who has this, the stats have changed to the one breed?
Or does it mean any new drops will only be of one breed?
And what is the breed?Brilliant Kaliri, Jade Tentacle, Tirisfal Batling, Firefly, Jade Crane Chick, Gilnean Raven, and Shore Crawler are no longer available in multiple breeds.
about 900 kills to get him. I am rather pleased as I thought it would take me longer.

I'd pretty much given up farming for this one since cross realm zones were introduced as every time I'd been by lately the Needlers were camped.
So yeah, about 20+ total mobs and oddly they don't seem to respawn at a regular rate. So if you rerun the path too quickly you will miss some.
Edit: 2,127 loots and 11 hours later it finally dropped, right as invites were going out for raid. Phew..
I was farming the regular route doing a counter-clockwise rotation and making sure to hit the two at the bottom of the lake. Also, as far as I am aware, I had no competition the entire time.
Hang in there, remain determined, and you'll have him. Just a matter of time!
Also, if you're using bunnyhunter, it states (wrongly) that this pet drops at a rate 1 out of 1000. Don't give up though, it's awesome and really worth it!
