Can be found in southern Kun-Lai Summit, near the gate separating the zone from Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

I found a group of three of these as a primary in each battle in The Summer Fields, Vale of Eternal Blossoms. I didn't get a rare, but there was a rare quality Yellow-Bellied Bullfrog attached to the third group. I also found a second group above the Ruins of Guo-Lai and Setting Sun Garrison, again no rare.
Finally got my rare as a secondary to an Uncommon Golden Civet with a poor Yellow-Bellied Bullfrog in The Five Sisters, Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
Love this guy as part of my team to beat Aki. Clouded Hedgehog, Dark Whelping and Efferescent Glowfly completed my team today.
This is a great pet both in looks and for battling. Granted you farm for the highest power breed (which shouldn't take long given the amount of them you can find) it has one of the highest power ratings I've seen for a flying type pet making it a very formidable battle companion.
got a rare along the river in the vale, battleing a water strider.
got rare and common in same battle at 69,46.
the first time i seen this it was second to a Golden Civet and was rare lucky me :)
I've also found it as a secondary pet with Gilded Moths.
Just found a pack of 3 roaming togheter at 69, 57. Every signle one was Uncommon but it came with a Rare Effervescent as second and a common Yellow-Bellied Frog as third. It seems that packs of wild pets share the same rooster and quality. Maybe usufull for group pet farming.
Update: I found a spawn of about ten of them at 54, 89 just on the right of the gate that bring you into The Vale of Eternal Blossom in Kun-Lai Summit. Good luck.
It appears that it's always second or third pet when u fight with Golden Civet or Golden Civet kittens. Got mine rare one on a first try
There are two trios of glowflies that spawn on the road near Setting Sun Garrison (seen @ 9:30am server), close together with a fairly quick respawn. I had seen the glowflies as backup with other pets in the Vale, but didn't see them spawning themselves until I had unlocked the Garrison quests in the Vale for Golden Lotus.
EDIT: There are also 2-3 groups of these that spawn in Kun-Lai, right outside the gates to the Vale.
Found 3 of them at 55,89 in Kun-Lai Summit!
I found one in a battle with a yellow bellied frog, it was 2nd in the line up. This has been the only one I have seen in the whole zone. The frog was at the lake in front of the alliance and horde city in the Vale
