The quest chain and the pet are modeled after PopCap's Plants vs. Zombies.

Similar to PvZ, players must survive five waves of ghouls in a mini-game started at Brazie's Farm, located just south of the Dalaran Crater in Hillsbrad Foothills. Players are phased out during each wave and will find themselves in vehicle-mode while defending the farm from ghouls using different plants.

Note: The repeatable version of the quest and feat of strength achievement (Bloom and Doom) is currently bugged and not available.

Brazie's Sunflower will occasionally hum or sing a line from the PvZ theme song as well as other miscellaneous tunes.

This companion is also known as the "Singing Sunflower" and is listed under this name in the pet tab in-game. However, the item and the summoning spell are labeled as "Brazie's Sunflower."

As a Plants vs Zombies addict, I figured this would be a simple task. It wasn't terribly hard as a PvZ vet, however it did take me a few tries.
For a great guide on how to win quickly and easily, check out this strategy:

It is worth noting that in your pet book this is listed under Singing Sunflower, deep inside S section of your book, not under B for Brazie's.

I've beaten Plants vs Zombies multiple times, earning the golden sunflower trophy twice, and the last two quests in the chain are FREAKING DIFFICULT!
BLIZZAAAAAAARD! *shakes fist*
At least you get a sense of satisfaction once you obtain the adorable little thing.

We don't want zombies on the lawn.

Honestly one of the greatest quest lines I've ever seen in WoW. Period. The whole mini-game was a lot of fun and I'm disappointed it isn't available to repeat. I wish they'd add more of these types of quests in the future.

The lead up to the last stage is a bit hard, but then it is cake. As far as the pet, I'm glad I finally have a friend to walk around with on my gnome who has a head as abnormally large for its body as mine is.

Wow what a fun quest - never played PvZ before and won this on the first try! I followed the advice of other commentators and looked at the strategy guide online. Definitely focus on keeping as many sunflowers out there as possible and don't focus so much on what is coming at you. You can do it and so worth it!!!

This quest line was SO MUCH FUN! Though it took me least 5-7 tries at the last one where you have to fight the boss. I wasn't putting out enough of the sunflowers for solar energy :3.

My strategy included each row having two sunflowers, 2 of the flowers that shoot stuff, one of the freezing flowers to slow down the zombies, and a vine to knock zombies and those darn floating things around! I also was making so much solar energy i was able to throw some pumpkin bombs at the boss which helped!

Update: Finally got it~!
The last two rounds were a challenge, but I found that this worked best - 2 rows of sunflowers at the back (get them up as soon as possible!) 2 rows of shooters & 1 row of freezers after the sunflowers, (very important) and then have 3 vines (optional but fun) at the front with the rock nuts infront and to their sides (important!) by that time you just have to save up for pumpkin bombs and repairing what gets taken down. Good luck!

Took MANY attempts to get the next-to-last part of the chain done. The secret is to get as many sunflowers out as possible early on, even if you have to sacrifice one of your mowers. They should only be attacking two rows at the start, so block one row with a rocknut to slow the zombies down; that will be the one you sacrifice. Then just build up a bunch of sunflowers and defensed; do two rows of sunflowers. Once the mower clears the sacrificial row, build there too.

Such a fun minigame! But once I beat the last guy, I didn't see a way to do the repeatable version of it... Did they remove that option or do you have to be lvl 85 to see it (which would be odd in a lvl 25 area...)? Either way, the pet is adorable.

I've had the second to last in the series of quests to get this in my log for almost six months now (since my main was lvl 30 something, lol) and finally decided to go back and try again and boy I am glad I did! This pet is super cute and also a great addition to your team, definitely worth the hassle of the quests.

Who knew that singing flowers could result in such an effective ghoul repellent? Maybe I should consider gardening more often. You never know what other monsters you'll have to defend against!
