intersting note; this is lowest health pet with a magic breed, so it can take full advantage of it's breed the most.

Since Legion 7.1, this battle pet has become Magic - instead of Elemental!

Was lucky enough to get both recipies with in a 3 attempts, which is a nice turn up for the books.

Nice pet, and I also got the Crazy cat person achievement at the sametime so not too bad :)

Serpent's heart will drop this recipe but the rate is low.  It took me 9 weeks. Gems drop most of the time.  Primals drop about every 2 weeks.

I had given up and bought the pet.  3 days later the recipe dropped.

Recipe was very expensive via this route.  They still will drop from Ancient Cache and very rarely from mobs in the vale, if you are a JC.

Looking at the Celestial tourney Lil' bling has a critter with a heal, a buff, and a mech attack. Seems good for that pet.

By no means a bad pet, but this guy is as soft as a sand castle. Abuse his crazy speed and treat it as a glass cannon, 'cause that's what he is. He's also an Elemental, which is an interesting bonus and will ignore weather effects like Lightning Storm effects. This could possible help with his fraility, but really, this guy is mostly a pet that finishes off weakened pets and goes kamikazi with Stone Rush when he's going to die anyways.

It seems like a finesse pet. If you can time your Screech well, you can mitigate some of the damage. Prowl with just about anything else would make this ok to use in a PvE fight i'm guessing. I wouldn't count on this pet staying alive alot though. It's an elemental critter killer which is an odd paring, so I'm sure there's a niche fight somewhere we'll be able to exploit.

Just got this thing through a trade and have not had a chance to battle with it yet; but my one concern about this pet is its extremely low hp compared to other pets. While I understand that it is an extremely fast pet, it has no dodge or invulnerability mechanic that could make this a viable pet for battles or tamer for that matter.

Can anyone that has battle with this pet at level 25 confirm that it actually is worth leveling? lol

buyer beware indeed: you can buy a rare one off the AH only to learn it as a different quality - luckily I only paid 1500g for a rare - once learned it became uncommon.

I guess 3 JCs downvoted me :P

I got a uncommon just today and am pretty happy about it. This is my 4th or 5th one and I have sold 1 or 2 on the AH that are poor for like half the price of the shot in the dark ones. I guess that they rather pay half the price for a sure shot at the bad pet just to have it rather then full AH price for what is most likely a poor anyway.

Even though its a blue and looks like a rare pet when you create it, the pet can be any quality when you learn it.(commonly poor)The pet is tradeable so you can watch the AH for the rare pet. You'll pay more but it might be cheaper then the shot in the dark if you purchase the companion repeatedly. (you can have 3, one for each pet slot)

*The coming battle stones to upgrade pet quality in 5.1 may be worth the wait.

Since my JC isn't close to high enough to find this pattern, I went about obtaining mine the traditional way: from the auction house. I was extremely disappointed to find that, once learned, my pet was of poor quality.

Ive learned about 12 of these and all i get are Uncommons.  Does anyone know if you can learn it and it starts as a rare or does it become a rare as you level it up.

Quite a disappointing pet. My pet was weaker than the stats shown on here so either their power varies or they are all weaker than this. Beyond that their skills are quite fitting with their powers if you know how to use them. The only problem with the pets abilities are the 3rd choices. Stone Rush is just bad for a pet as fragile as this, and Prowl though bearing more potential runs the risk of destroying the pets prime advantage; it's awesome speed.

3/5 from me

Got the pattern from a Treasures of the Vale box.  Crafted it and got a poor quality.  I made the Jade Owl and it turned out uncommon.  Are the rarities on these JC pets randomized?

These require 3 Harmonies (bop) and 3 River's heart gems to make. So be ready to bribe your crafter with a fat tip to craft this cutey since those crafter mats are still high in demand. I gave my guildy 2500 for his harmonies to make one for me, the pattern being a random drop off cache makes it slightly harder to come by as well so I feel this was fair :)

While each cub is crafted in the same fashion, tiny imperfections in the gemstones create a unique personality when imbued with life. They are, however, always playful and friendly.
