Ok so I had gone to get a Tiny Bog Beast and, well, first battle rare and H/S what I wanted. So I had an Elemental stone in bags didn't use it. Headed up to Arathi Highlands seeking this elemental. There were none so I just alt tabbed, flew around, found myself a rare prairie dog WOOP. Anywho flew back and there it was just 1... RARE and H/S. Shoot not bad at all, 40 mins well spent. Still have my stone hehe.
I caught a rare Tiny Twister shortly after WoW came back online after its weekly maintenance. The whole area was entirely repopulated, and there were at least 10 Tiny Twisters spawned. My rare popped after clearing about half of them, and some of the added pets were rares as well.
tl;dr - check for Twisters immediately after weekly maintenance.
Just found a bunch of them on Moon Guard around 6:30am. No one else was anywhere nearby, so I was free to search until I found a rare at 6:49.
One of my favourite Elementals. With Wild Winds and Bash this guy does not have to be scared of Aquatics as most other Elementals. Mine has ended many Magical Crawdads. I prefer the H/S breed with 289 speed to get more out of Bash, my second choice would probably be the P/B breed. Nice partner in a lightning team, just be wary of casting lightning(even if strong damage) against Death Adders often it just hurts more than you gain. Not as good at taking on mechanicals as regular elementals.
Phew been stopping by for a few weeks now and there were finally some spawned....buuuut hoarde was there too but I managed to sweep in and get an uncommon, guess its stone time!
I've been sitting here for over an hour killing the elementals, not one TT has respawned. Either luck hates me or it is just completely random. Area 52 server at 1321 hours
I just happened to be riding through the area and when I saw these funny things decided to try my luck. There were five or so around. The second one was rare. :-)
I have cleared the area constantly for well over an hour now and I have not had a single TT spawn. Also have killed any other pet in the area. Kind of getting tired of it.
Clearing out the Thundering Exiles will cause Tiny Twisters to spawn. I cleared the area several times as suggested by other posters, and Tiny Twisters eventually started spawning.
Was looking for new pets. Decided to try for this one. 1:52pm server time and there were only 10 or so when I landed. The first one I clicked to battle turned out to be Rare. And I caught it. I am one happy panda, lol. Realm is Suramar, location cords 47.31 - 54.19
Well, I just cleared all the mobs out of boredom, and as soon as I did, two common quality Tiny Twisters spawned. Luck or not, I'll take it. That's what stones are for.
Grey,White and greens...
No sights of a blue one =(
Who knows if anything helps spawning... I was switching between Azuremyst and Zuluhed servers, killing Thundering Exiles out of boredom (and the occasional raptor) and no luck... came back to Azuremyst and it was raining ... there was one TT and it was a rare. So was it wholesale slaughter? Rainy conditions? Who knows! ;)
The first time while camping around 15 spawned (no rares), 1hr later they popped up slowly one at a time but still in a batch (no rares). After those two batches no more spawned for some time. In the following week I checked many times to see campers & no spawns, tried killing critters, didnt help. It was only when I thought "oh Im flying through, Ill stop by" did I get a rare one! If u r agressivley competing for spawns stay inside the circle on the "uphill" side, got luckier there.
2:20 am GMT - Twilight's Hammer
Just netted 2 Rares
H/P & H/S
Got up to the spawn point fully expecting to be sat here all night but there was 2 dozen just floating around.
I went thru them one by one with my Kun Lai Runt (to speed things up) to slay the chaff and cap the two rares available.
Read that killing other pets in the zone had a chance of spawning this one, so I did one lap around the area while leaving dead critters in my wake. Came back to the spawn spot and found someone else battling it.
So ten mins later I did another lap around the area, once again murdering innocent pets. Came back and found the SAME GUY camping the spot.
ahahaha...NO! I shall not be doing his dirty work for him again! Logged.
I agree that killing other battle pets seems to help spawn these guys. I camped the spawn point for a little over an hour before 2 other collectors came and sat on top of me. Not wanting to be disappointed if I lost out in a mad dash against them, I just logged to an alt on a lower pop server.
Did a /who to confirm I was essentially alone in the zone then went around killing all battle pets in 5min incriments and camping the spawn point for 5min after. Got a rare P/B in under 30min.
Just sat there for about 20 min and it poped up.. green.
Haven't seen one at all until today (I don't farm it a lot). Killed lots of exiles, but that didn't seem to help. Finally had one spawn (uncommon), a few minutes after killing the 3 in the center and looting them...he spawned off to the north, by himself, before any of the center ones respawned.
It seems to be a simple random spawn...weather was clear / cloudy, nothing else I could see that would trigger them, so I'd think just keep at it and you'll eventually run into one.
I waited around for about 30 minutes when the Tiny Twister spawned. I got a green one on my first try. Going to keep looking for a blue. :)
