Nexus Whelpling

I got lucky.  Happened to be in the area to run Oculus and first one was a rare. I leveled it to 25 and it is my main battle pet.  Not too much that it isn't good against.  Not a lot of life even as a rare but can take hits well and the arcane shot is insane.  I've one hit killed 25s.  By far my favorite for pet battles.

Went by Coldarra about a week ago and couldn't find any spawns.  Went back today.  Spotted one, turned out to be Poor, and I accidently two-shot it.  The next one I found was a Rare :)  I do think its strange that this pet isn't counted as part of the Northrend Safari acheivement

5 am server time there were about 10-15 of them up.  Most common/poor, one uncommon, and one rare.  All of them were scattered loosely around area where the snow is, I was the only one there.

Flew around the area and none to be seen so starting killing the npcs walking around.  Still nothing.  Finally flew way up and killed some of the hatchlings (maybe 10-20). Then when I flew around the zone again two had spawned.  Both common so I took one (4,14) and left one for the next hunter.  Seems killing the hatchlings does help.

Anyone have a spawn timer on these?  I've been waiting about 25 30 minutes now and no respawns.

Just got this little guy and he's great! There were a few around and I caught the first one uncommon and used a stone. He's really good in pet battles and just looks cool :)

Pet battlers will want the 4,14 breed with the lowest speed, to take advantage of the Tail Sweep ability. It does extra damage only if your pet is the slowest.

This little guy is a must have for any fights against flying type pets. Also not too shabby against magic types. I searched a few times for him, killing the other critters in the area, and got a rare after 10 or so battles.

0.0 I was really lucky. I only found one and it was a rare! He's pretty cool to add in your collection and all. <3

In the afternoon hrs on Saturday saw about 10 in the area where the Northrend rare spawns. Only got an uncommon, but saw several uncommons & most were poor.

Found mine today just outside of the transitus sheild in coldara just slightly south.

Randomly began killing drake hatchlings along with all other dragonkin had 2 poor quality spawn and first captured came with a dragonkin battlestone so rare done!

After two + weeks of trying, very few in the Coldarra each check, I farmed and finally got a rare at 26.8, 35.6 today 1/9/12. Killing the dragonkin in the area definitely increases whelpling spawn rates. Great way to level mining to! :)

This one might be worth farming a rare for. There are a ton of them on the far side of Coldarra amongst the blue dragonkin.

Got my rare today around coldarra 5.19 gmt+1 A lot of them around is been very easy

I got this one at 16:34 on Anachronos EU. It's only a common, but it's one of the last 4 I needed...

I moved to US a few years ago so EU servers had new years and i decided to go after some rare pets around the world and got this little fella along with a Flawless Dragonkin Battle-Stone hehehe i found it funny cuz i got a poor quality. :)

I went questing here in the hope i might find a dragon , i did find one spawn of this pet but i had a rare hare spawn  in the fight too so i went and caught that! have yet to have another dragon spawn im going to check through the night =(

Guess I got pretty lucky.  Decided to fly over there and see if any were up and one was up at 24.60, 22.30.  Lucky enough, it was a rare too.
