This pet is chosen among four vanity pets as a reward after completing a chain of Children's Week quests. These quests may be accessed by characters level 10+. See the Guide to Children's Week for a detailed walkthrough of this chain. Other rewards for the final quest include Mr. Wiggles, Speedy, and Scooter the Snail. Collecting all four pets on the same character is possible (over the course of four years) since the quests are repeatable each year.

I beg to differ, Breanni. Whiskers the rat was the first Children's Week pet I got and I had him out EVERYWHERE. To all pet collectors out there enjoying Winter Veil or any other holiday, Happy Holidays.

Lol. Whiskers is a great way to have revenge on those people who just have to kill every rat they see in WoW. Summon this, take him near the alley near the Stormwind action house, and watch their faces when they meet the rat that can't be killed.

I picked Whiskers as my first Children's week pet because I used to have pet rats too. :) He has a lot of personality and is fun to have out. And as others have said, he's fun for annoying people in dungeons when they keep trying to kill him and get confused when they can't attack him, lol.

I noticed today, if you're on your seahorse mount in the deep see, whiskers will start leaving trails behind him or if you stop he'll skid and leave a trail of sand.

On my main, have this pet along wiith the other ones, but this is the only pet I have on my druid. I love how they look together, especially the balck cat and the white rat. I always take out this pet on my druid becuase my druid loves Whiskers! =D

Very adorable, and I noticed that even though its very easy to get at the children's week, its classified as rare, which usually means hard to get. Not many people on this website have this pet, even though it could be one of the cooler one out of Mr. Wiggles or Speedy.

Whiskers was my very first WoW pet, I had chosen him because at the time I was owned by two real-life pet rats and wanted a similar companion ingame. Would love to see more pet rat models in the future with hooded or spotted markings similar to those of real rat pets, in the meantime this little guy still remains one of my absolute favorites!

Whiskers is one of the most active non-combat pets. He's always wandering around a little, standing up and sniffing, and doing a backflip, missing the landing, and playing dead. Plus, he looks hilarious chasing after druids in kitty form.

I pity Whiskers the rat. Everyone always picks Speedy or Mr. Wiggles. No one ever goes for Whiskers. Hmmmโ€ฆ *ponders* Whiskers always gets the shaft and the alley near the Stormwind auction house is constantly littered with white rat carcasses. Do people who play Warcraft just hate white rats? I should fund a studyโ€ฆ
