Unnoticed but to cats and ratcatchers, when Deathwing descended upon Stormwind all the rats beat a hasty retreat from the city. Only of late have they returned.

Interestingly enough, I just got a poor breed of P/S - which is not listed at all using Battle Pet BreedID addon so when you're looking at it the designation is (???) but once I select it in my list the P/S shows up in yellow text.  These are lvl 1 btw. #s in () are at lvl 25

They aren't only in Stormwind. You can go south of Westbrook Garrison and find them in the gnoll camps. Low spawn but Horde don't have to get clobbered by SW guards.

The easiest way to get one as a Horde player is to create a human character.

 

I first tried to fly into Stormwind with my hunter and tried to use camouflage so nobody could see me...but the guards will see you anyway. So just create a human caracter, go to Stormwind and catch one. :)

My rare SW Rat has 155 HP @Lv1. Uncommon variants had between 151-153.
