after 20 mins of killing (not battling) all the pets in tinkertown  area i flew around (as a horde) til they respawned and finally got one of these guys at 42,65  (toxic airfield)Â
ok im alliance and i had been waiting for forever for this dang thing to spawn at the airstrip but no luck. i went inside the actual gnomeragan and wow, they're everywhere! along with the fluxfire felines! it only took me 3 or 4 to get rares for both!Â
I have farmed this critter I don't know how many times. I'm Alliance, and have a gnome, so no guard problems. And yet to see anything but poor quality. I think this was Blizz idea of a bad joke sometimes. ;) So when the Flawless Critter stone dropped, I suddenly had a blue Irradiated Roach. That's the best advice I can give you. Take the first one you find and run. Then wait for the stone to drop.

The best advice I can give you for this, make an alt on a rp server. Nobody ever flies around petsearching on those servers.
Thanks so much for the suggestion of rolling a gnome to find this little guy! After searching daily for a couple of weeks, I rolled a gnome one of my other servers yesterday afternoon and POOF! There were two right in front of me before I took the first quest. Also a couple of Fluxfire Felines. Grabbed the first roach and caught him (grey), which got my EK Safari achiev. Had a Flawless Critter stone in the bank, just waiting for him. Happy hunting!
Just cought one now, poor quility though(Might see if i can get a better one or just upgrade it to blue with a stone later on). As everybody says, their spawn rate is crap. I flew around the whole area and killed of all the other battle pets(snow cubs mainly). And when new pets spawned again, snow cubs and more snow cubs, kill kill kill... and same again, after 20-30mins with this 1 finaly spawned in the middle of the toxic pool/field, but as said poor quility, better then nothing i guess.
Got mime last night by making gnomes on low-medium pop servers and running out to the airfield. only took me about 3 makes to find a few, Â all poor though.=/
Having NO luck, and keep getting shot down by overzealous gnome guards. I've died 3 times. >:(
Finally got this annoying little roach to spawn by killing every battlepet in the area. Tried killing off the non-battle roaches before, and it didn't help. So my best tip is: go on a killing spree for battlepets, and check gnomeregan and the toxic fields from the air to see if anything have spawned yet =)
Found 5 active in Gnomeregan which turned out to be only 2 since 3 were in the upper paths which are not large enough to have pet battles. The group was down the right hand path once you exit the elevator.
i was after the new fluxfire feline this morning, i found 3 that turned up 1 at a time but i never saw the roach anywhere not even in the outside area of gnomer i was there about 30 minutes, i already have one so i wasnt looking for this guy but it was weird is there something up with their spawn time?Â
Spent a few hours waiting for one to spawn, two spawn within a few minuntes in the middle of the airfield in gnomeragan.

Found this in Galakrond were the gnomes spawn in gnomeregan. It was a poor quality but I got it for the sake of collecting :D. My wife got the fluxfire Feline while i got the Irradiated Roach in the same area.
After looking on 4 different realms (which were crawling with people EVERYWHERE. The only empty server was my own :P) I finally found 1 - just 1 - in the Toxic Field. It was common in rarity but since I collect purely for collecting I don't mind ^^
finally caught a common down below in the gnomeragan area....pain in the butt lol. good luck.
This little guy was a bit hard to come by. I checked several realms where I have characters, but found nothing. So, I chose a realm and rolled a gnome. There they were, got my rare on the second try. Ravencrest US at about 11am server time. Good luck!
Finally figured it out~ Thanks to the person that mentioned the gnome starting area. I walked over there, spent some time beating up on Alpine Hares just west of Gnomer in the starting area...it looks as though for every hare I took down, an Irradiated Roach popped up. I spent 1 1/2 hours looking for one, all over. After killing 6 or 7 Alpine Hares, I found 6 or 7 Irradiated Roaches inside Gnomer. 3 poor, one normal, one uncommon, and one rare. Super easy....
Found myself near the Toxic Airfield and there was a single Irradiated Roach there. Never seen one in past hunting trips. A RARE! Very glad I'd switched down to my brand-new Rare Alpine Hare for the battle - didn't accidentally kill it. Woot!
