This wild pet can be found in the south eastern area of Desolace. It only spawns at night.

I went out around 1 AM realm time. Just keep going from dry river bed to try river bed and you will keep finding them it took me a little while there are a lot of poor quality ones so if you find an uncommon I'd grab that and then keep looking for a rare one after about 30 to 45 minutes I finally found a rare <3
full of Stone....in 5 min got rare after 7 try

Just so everyone knows: events involving time are now ALWAYS PST TIME! So pets that come out only at certain times will be there according to PST times, which is extremely annoying for East Coasters.
Easy pet - I logged on around 11 pm US mountain time & found them all over in the dried up creek beds - which the creek beds are all over the zone. Got a rare on my 4th battle

About a dozen cuties here at 6:35am est(server time). Saw from poor-rare in the pack. The early bird got it's rodent :) Magram Territory, Desolace
I found mine in Desolace, in the southwest corner. It was on the edge of water, east of the Gelkis Village. There were 2 there, 1 common & 1 poor. The time was 10:00 PM. They didn't show until then. Only rock vipers, roaches, etc were there at 8 pm.
Okay - please listen before you guys spend hour and hours waiting like I did. I belive that the time change has affected the spawn timers. Just like some achievements.
They spawn right in front of me at 9:59pm server time. A whole 2 hours after what everyone says. I caught 1 poor and 1 uncommon before I called it a night.
was out at 8 realm time but nothing showed up. so decided to go get the turquoise turtle, came back after 8 pacific and they were all over, so im guessing these little guys show up after 8 pm, all time zones...just my 2 cents :) captured a common off the bat in case a lot of people, upgraded to an uncommon and found a rare finally, at 42.83 outside the gelkis village by the water. he is a cutie, good luck.
I got the stone armadillo last night and it turned out to be my first RARE. He was in one of the dry riverbeds. I was very excited. I was working around the Cenarian place to level up before challenging the trainer.
I found 5 of these guys just east of Mannoroc Coven at 8:01 AM server time and EST. Happy hunting.
Can confirm at 5:30 am these little guys are still up for anyone hunting them in the early hours found 4 around 59,78.
Found hundreds of these guys in all dried streambeds. You can see the beds on your map. Battled about 30 and caught 10 uncommons and the rest common and poor. Still haven't found a rare though.
For those of you eager beavers like me, this pet does not spawn until 8:00 pm server time. I flew out to the area about 7:30 ST figuring it was pretty much night time, but nothing. Stayed and at 8 pm exactly 3 spawned where I was.
definitely a nocturnal animal. can only be found at night time (8pm server time) along the dry riverbeds of Desolace.
Not limited to the southeast corner, but limited to the type of environment they spawn and wander in -- the dry streambeds, of which there are two in close proximity in the southeastern corner. There's another by the flightpath at Thunk's Abode, and there were armadillos on it, as well. Probably they're anywhere where there are teh dry streambeds, but I already had mine by this point, and didn't check other locales.
