Following the streams seemed a good way to find Moccasins (usually in midstream), but finding anything that wasn't poor or common did take forever.
Found quite a few just south of The Harborage while looking for swamp moths and got a rare 3rd battle :)
Found mine in the SE part of the map IN the river was about 10:30pm server time
Found one, don't know how to delete this previous rant :)
Got a rare one after around 3-6 Battles (i reateded some and killed non-moccasin pets), its was quite many i found mine near i the harborage, i di the typical kill another spawns and its spanws later, time its 01,15AM maybe around night time it spawns?. another times i checked was on evening and day and dont find any
I found them in streams near Stonnard. First two I accidentally killed, but the third was a rare!
Not sure when these Moccasins spawn, but I looked all day one day and logged around 11pm server in the swamp, next morning around 8am logged in and found several Moccasins in the zone, got my Rare around the 4th one I found.
Not sure about previous posts but I found these to be everywhere in the streams in abundance... Got my rare in no time.
Got one after about 30 min, a common but got a rare huge toad while looking.
77,68 (north of misty reed post) 8:50 pm EU server time, found this on accident- was an uncommon as well!
Only found one in the zone, outside Sorrowmurk at 82, 43 in the stream.
i made an macro and found it within 2 minutes
These little guys are next to impossible to find. I've never seen one except around midday. Around 10am-2pm is when I see them occasionally, never at night. I might just be unlucky though, its so hard to tell if its on a timer. They're always in the water and they're pretty scarce, so if you see one, battle it!
Got lucky and found one in the water north of the marshfin murloc camp at the southeast corner of the zone.
I'd reccomend for people looking for a moccasin to just make a loop around the zone following the waterways, taking out any other pets you find to increase the chance of one spawning.
Looked all over the zone and killed anything that wasn't a Moccasin, then I went down by the alliance base called "The Harborage" right out front of it at 29, 39 and found 2 Moccasin's (one grey and one common). Not sure if killing those water snakes help, but it sure can't hurt.
Found 4 of them now a bit before 9 am server time. I got an uncommon then and stopped looking, as I am currently working on the number of pets and not the quality.
Spent around an hour searching the river system mentioned in the other posts. Only found Water Snakes. I cleared those to level some of my midrange pets as i searched but respawns were also Water Snakes. Then I moved to the small river pool south of the Temple of Atal'Hakkar and there was a Moccassin there. Only one I found. Approx 10:15 am server.
follow the streams in swamp of sorrow and will come across one they glide along the streams 2 days in a row i found the moccasin at 33,49 in swamp of sorrow this was around 10 am
Encountered one in the first little stream coming from Deadwind Pass at 11:50 server time. After flying around more, I saw other moccasins scattered throughout similar areas in the Swamp of Sorrows.
I can't find this guy to save my life! Not a SINGLE one in Swamp of Sorrows today... lots of Water Snakes though. Did they get replaced?
