This pet is chosen among four vanity pets as a reward after completing a chain of Children's Week quests. These quests may be accessed by characters level 10+. See the Guide to Children's Week for a detailed walkthrough of this chain. Other rewards for the final quest include Whiskers the Rat, Mr. Wiggles, and Scooter the Snail. Collecting all four pets on the same character is possible (over the course of four years) since the quests are repeatable each year.

This pet is also available as a FigurePets collectible (series 1).

Summon one Speedy turtle, add one epic land mount, press forward and see that he is indeed his name sake. And if you aren't making race car sounds as his lil' legs are churnin' and burnin' then you're not truly using your pet to the fullest. :D

Speedy was pet number 100 for me!!! So i ll always remember this one. I really wish there was an achievement for 100. It took me awhile to accomplish that. Hopefully they'll add one in the future :)

For such a tiny turtle, Speedy sure has a deep roar! and it gives both of you the crooked exclamation point from demoralizing shout over your heads!

Ever since I was little and I read the book 'Elsio Trot' I've been an avid Turtle lover, to the point of owning my very own real life turtle! So when I first saw Speedy following around another player I knew I had to get him!

Both Speedy and the snowshoe rabbit were adopted by a tauren friend of mine. One time she had them race. The snowshoe got off to a great start, but Speedy soon unleashed his secret weapon — a pair of Goblin Rocket Boots. Of course, goblin technology isn’t always reliable. So to make a long story short, the rabbit celebrated his victory with a bowl of mixed greens while my tauren friend enjoyed some Soothing Turtle Bisque.
