Just on the 'S' of Silverwind refuge my first go was a rare

got an uncommon as a back up to a moth in ashenvale.

In my search for a Rare, I found the easiest thing to do was to travel up and down all three arms of the river on a character with water-walking (for me, a hunter with a water skimmer as a pet), killing off any non-combat toads and frogs I saw, and battling the ones I could for experience.

Be careful of level though -- I had a level 4 solo on one bank, then directly across the stream on the opposite bank was a level 6 that came with another level 6 as backup.

I found lots of Toads along Falfarren River but no Frogs. So I killed all the Toads and some of them respawned as Frogs. :)

There are tons of this frog along the river on the east of Ashenvale. Just follow the river in both directions (north and south). You'll find a few toads and lots of frogs. Rare has 280+ health.

I caught this pet when i use the addon to manage my account it does not add this pet so i manually put it in

I'm only counting Rares caught on my collection here, so I usually have to find quite a few or get lucky...confirmed to have found these around the lake at Silverwind Refuge, and along all 3 branches of the river/creek system surrounding Splintertree

I found one along the long stretch of river in Ashenvale lvl 4 by himself fight =)

I found a single frog in Ashenvale in the center of Mystral Lake, on the island with the elemental.
