There are a total of four Tiny Carp that can be fished up in Pandaria:
The Tiny Green Carp can be fished up from Emperor Salmon Schools, Jade Lungfish Schools, and Krasarang Paddlefish Schools. Additionally, it can be caught by casting into the Fish of the Day in the Krasarang Wilds, The Jade Forest, and Valley of the Four Winds.
Another way to obtain this pet is by fishing from inland open water in Krasarang Wilds, The Jade Forest, and Valley of the Four Winds.

First cast ever in The Jade Forest and there it was. Took me a moment to realise what had just happened.

Found tiny green carp in Vale of Eternal Blossoms in emperor salmon pool. Am I the only one to get one in that zone?
As far as strategies for trying to fish up all four of the tiny carp: Is there a method I should follow? Or have we collectors not quite figured out the system yet?.
And now I guess I will quit fishing for other carp! If can be traded, then the luster is gone.
I caught this guy at the "fish area of the day" which was Krasari Falls (Krasarang Wilds). Having set myself up for the long haul, I was pleasantly surprised to have him as a secondary on my 193rd fish. :)
Arcanite Fishing Pole with Eternium Line + Nat's Hat and lure + Ancient Pandaren Fishing Charm used. Fished only in the pools spawning.

Caught this little guy at that little pond near niuzao temple from open water. I was there to try and catch the illusive blue one but that's ok, just wish it hadn't taken a week and over 200 stacks of fish and numerous sealed crates! Gear used, Panda fishing charm, weather beaten hat, nat boots, +2 on gloves, lager, heat treated spinning lure, tuskarr spear, Kalu'ak rod for a total 812 fishing. With this amount I should have been able to fish up the Loch Nes!
Tiny green carp on third cast, no kidding! That's today mind you, not a sum total. Had just pulled out my Jeweled fishing pole, standing on my raft right next to Angler Johnny Rotten and Bo Den in the fishing spot of the day- Krasari Falls in a pool by the shoreline. Fishing skill 630. Gig'Em!
Just caught mine off the north shore of Cattail Lake, right next to the spot that the Ghostly Fisherman spawns. Not in a pool. Took about 20 casts.
Also might be worth mentioning that it was fished up as a secondary along with a Krasarang Paddlefish, even though I was not using a fishing charm.
Amazingly after only 22 casts in Jade Lungfish pools I caught this little guy along with a another lungfish. The location was next to the bridge going over the river near Serpent's Heart area. I had the weather beaten fishing hat on, was using Nat Pagle's Lucky fishing pole but no lure. Feel really lucky after spending several hours fishing for the blue carp a few days ago without getting it. Good luck everyone!
100 casts into Fish of the Day in Jade Forest, using Bone Fishing Pole + Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat~ wasn't even expecting it, actually focussing on the White one right now and only popped by Fish of the Day for some ironpaw tokens!

Cought in Emperor Salmon pool near the brewery in Valley of the Four Winds after about a half hour of fishhing. (37000+ casts still no turtle, ahhh welll)

Fished around 7 pools along the river in the Jade Forest on a day where Jade lungfish were the catch of the day and was lucky enough to get this little chap! Boyfriend is now jealous lol!
I was lucky with this green carp, caught just after 75 casts on Pearl Lake inside the jade lungfish school (Jade Forrest), without the special fishing day. Now i miss only the red carp, so i think i will try on DW to dont risk to catch a double. If that possible? Anyone knows? Better dont risk btw.
Close to 400 casts in the Woods of the Lost, big pond, standing on a rock in the water, not caught in a pool of lungfish.
Caught after 35 casts in VoEB from an Emperor Salmon school. Was actually farming for the blue one when it happened and got caught by surprise, but its definitely confirmation that this guy drops from salmon schools regardless of their location.
So I managed to fish the blue carp up in one cast. However, no luck with any of the others - I have not counted the hours but I have cast over 3.5k!!! times to get green, red and white pets and no luck. I have tried fishing in pools, not fishing in pools, fishing in the fishing hole of the day, not fishing there, I feel I have tried everything and I am seriously about to give up. Its an insane time sink for a reskin.
And now I am up to 7.2k casts..and no fish..and I am done.
Caught mine while standing at Fish Fellreed's dock in VotFW. Open water, exactly 27 casts using Kalu'ak Fishing Pole, Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat and Pandaren Fishing Charm. I had tried for hours next to Ben of the Booming Voice so I was really happy when I got lucky at Fish's place!
Caught this in the Woods of the Lost in a [large glowing Jade Lungfish pool]. Unfortunately I'm not having the best drop rates it took 6hrs to fish up.
I did use the charm but the buff was off when I fished this up.
Caught in river in Vot4W right next to Galleon's spawn point. No fishing charm, 376 fishing skill (no lure, no hat, no pole). Appeared in lootbox along with Golden Carp. Open water. Caught in under 20 casts on this particular alt in this location.
